Hennepin County Sheriff Report — Rockford, Greenfield

The following public safety summary information from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit is provided to residents as a public service.

These highlights from Oct 14 thru Oct 20, 2013 do not reflect all incidents handled or investigated by the HCSO during this time period.

Rockford

On Oct. 15 deputies responded to a business in the 7600 block of County Road 50 for a fire alarm. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with several staff members who stated the building had been checked and they did not locate anything out of the ordinary. Rockford Fire was on scene and was able to reset the fire alarm. No other action was taken.

Greenfield

On Oct. 15 deputies made a traffic stop in the area of Hwy. 55 and County Road 92. The deputy observed a black BMW speeding and initiated a traffic stop. After record checks, the driver was released pending formal complaint for intent to escape payment of any tax on the motor vehicle. The city attorney’s office will be handling this case.

On Oct. 15 deputies responded to a business in the 8500 block of Hwy. 55 for an intrusion alarm. Upon arrival, the deputy was unable to gain access inside the gate. The facility appeared to be secure so the deputy cleared with no key holder responding. No other action was taken.

On Oct. 16 deputies responded to a business in the 7800 block of Hwy. 55 for a theft report. An employee reported approximately 8 metal window frames were stolen from the business. She also reported a theft at another nearby business about a month ago. The total value of the items stolen is approximately $1,740.00. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is investigating this incident.

On Oct. 17 deputies responded to a business along 69th Avenue North for a harassing complaint. An employee reported a male was making harassing phone calls to the company and another employee. The deputy took person statements and informed the reporting party on how to go about obtaining a restraining order. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is investigating this incident.

On Oct. 18 deputies responded to an address along Quail Ridge Trail on a report of damage to property. The deputy arrived at the scene and observed tire tracks through the front lawn. There are no suspects at this time. The report was sent to a Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective for information.

On Oct. 18 deputies responded to an address on Cavanaugh Run on a report of damage to property. The deputy made contact with the reporting party and learned someone drove on her front lawn the night before. The deputy observed damage to the yard. No suspects at this time. The report was sent to a Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective for information.

On Oct. 18 deputies responded to a business in the 7500 block of Hwy. 55 for a gas drive off report. An employee reported the driver of a red SUV put $39.96 worth of gas into the vehicle and did not pay for it. The deputy ran a record check and the vehicle came back to a business. The deputy was not able to make contact with the business. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is investigating this incident.

On Oct. 18 deputies responded to an address on Rebecca Park Trail on an alarm. Deputies made contact with a male at the residence and learned he was dog sitting. The male party was able to turn off the alarm. No other action was taken.

On Oct. 20 deputies responded to a business in the 7500 block of Hwy. 55 for a no pay report. An employee reported the driver of a purple SUV drove off after putting $48.16 in the vehicle and drove off. The employee did not have the correct information so the deputy was not able to follow up with suspect.
