Hamel Lions Flea Market
SUNDAYS THROUGH OCT. 27 — The Hamel Lions Flea Market will be open on Sundays through Oct. 27 in the parking lot of the Medina Entertainment Center, 500 Hwy. 55, Medina. Bargain hunters can visit the market from 6 a.m. to noon. The Flea Market will be closed on May 12 and 19 and Aug. 11. Vendors will offer antiques, collectables, bargains, crafts, produce, plants, fall farmers market, and one of a kinds. Admission and parking are free. Vendor space costs $20 per spot. Delano Farmers Market
WEDNESDAYS THROUGH OCTOBER — The Delano Farmers Market is open Wednesdays through October from 2 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of Flippin’ Bills’, located on the corner of Highway 12 and County Line Road in Delano. Shoppers will find freshly baked bread, local honey, maple syrup, pickles, farm fresh eggs, seasonal fruits and more when in season. A non-profit booth is available. Delano Library Art Show
OCT. 1 – 26 — Area amateur and professional artists are exhibiting their work at the annual Delano Public Library art exhibit through Oct. 26. The library and the Friends of the Delano Library are exhibit sponsors. The art show is on view during library hours at 160 Railroad Ave. E., Delano.
OCT. 24 — Corcoran City Council will meet Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. at city hall at 8200 County Road 116.

OCT. 25, 26, 31 — Haunted Acres is returning to Corcoran Lions Park, 7205 County Road 101, Corcoran for the Halloween season. Hours will be 7 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 25, 26 and 31. Tickets will cost $10 or $9 with a non-perishable food donation for area food shelves. Caution: This attraction is for mature audiences only. Books with Boone
OCT. 25 — The Delano Public Library, 160 Railroad Ave. E., offers a read-aloud program with Boone, a Reading Education Assistance Dog (READ), on the fourth Friday of the month. His next visits will be Oct. 25 and Nov. 22, from 3 to 5 p.m. School age children can sign up for the READ program to read, one-to-one with Boone, for 15 minutes. This is a great program for children who are hesitant about reading aloud, as Boone is a great listener. Call the library at 763-972-3467 to register.
Hamel VFW steak fry
OCT. 26 — Hamel Veterans of Foreign Wars Post invites anyone, member or not, to dine at a steak fry from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Post, 19020 Hamel Road, Plymouth. A full bar will be available. Proceeds will go to support veterans’ programs. The VFW Post is open Wednesdays through Fridays beginning at 4 p.m., Saturdays beginning at 3 p.m. and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Meat raffle every Sunday at 3 p.m. Pull tabs every day.
Booooos on River Costume Party
OCT. 26 — The Delano Jaycees will sponsor a Booooos on the River Food Drive Costume Party and Dance, beginning at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26 at B’s on the River, 1455 County Road 27, Watertown. The Jaycees will offer drink specials, door prizes, DJ Music all Night, and cash prizes for the top three best costumes. Admission will be a free will cover charge with proceeds benefitting local food shelves. Guests are asked to bring a nonperishable food item to help fill food shelves for the holiday season.
Super Saturday Costume Party
OCT. 26 — Orono Discovery Center, 5050 Independence St., Maple Plain, will a host a Super Saturday Costume Party from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 26. Costumes are optional. Hosts are Orono Schools Early Learning Education programs. They will offer activities for all ages, hauntingly good treats and gym time to get the ghouls out. Snuggle Up and Read Storytime
OCT. 28 — Parents are invited to register their toddlers, 18 months to three years, for a series of Snuggle Up and Read Toddler Storytimes. They will take place 10:30 to 10:50 a.m. on Mondays, Oct. 28 through Nov. 4. Toddler times will include singing, clapping and fun stories, as well as a new literacy tip each week. It’s Just Coffee
OCT. 29 — Come meet your Greenfield neighbors, share a cup of coffee and talk. Bring a friend and join in the fun. It’s Just Coffee meets the last Tuesday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. at Riverwood Covenant Church (7189 69th Ave. N). WOW services include adult and child immunizations; health screening; blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol checks by appointment; pregnancy, health and wellness checks and child car seat checks by appointment. NOV. 3 — Faith Community Church, of Independence, will host the Kingery Family Singers at its annual Pre-Thanksgiving Concert and pie fellowship at 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3. Faith Church is located one mile west of Maple Plain at the
intersection of U. S. Highway 12 and County Road 90. The concert is free, but an offering will be received. Mike and Chris Kingery and their eight children sing and minister together through music. They sing primarily gospel bluegrass music
while also incorporating fiddle, patriotic, Americana and a Capella.

She will provide guidance on online job searches, the hidden job market, how to create a resume, and skills that are transferable to current job openings.
