On Saturday, Oct. 5, at 1 a.m. at Highway 55 and County Road 116, Andrew Robert Fiero, 31, of St. Louis Park, was arrested for DWI, second-degree refusal. Driver refused to submit to testing.

On Saturday, Oct. 12, at 12:20 a.m. at Interstate 35W and 42nd Street East, Minneapolis, Salvador Delaluz Barrera, 51, of Minneapolis, was arrested for DWI, third-degree refusal.

On Sunday, Oct. 13, at 1:49 a.m. at I-35W and 66th Street, Richfield, Carlos Arnoldo Segovia, 42, was arrested for DWI, second-degree with a BAC of 0.17.

On Sunday, Oct. 13, at 2:58 a.m. at 1394 West and Linden, Minneapolis, Matthew Ray Higgins, 24, was arrested for DWI with a BAC of 0.15.

Theft

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 9:14 a.m. on the 2100 block of Hamel Road, it was reported that a chain saw was taken from a shed.

Other

On Monday, Sept. 30, at 9:06 a.m. on the 100 block of Railway Road, there was a report of a lost diamond necklace. If located, contact the police department.

On Monday, Sept. 30, at 12:45 p.m. on the 100 block of Hamel Road, there was a report of a suspected counterfeit $10 bill found in a bank drop bag in the overnight deposit box.

It will be submitted to the U.S. Secret Service.

On Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 12:53 p.m. on the 100 block of County Road 24, there was a 911 call determined to be misdialed.

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 2:46 p.m. on the 400 block of County Road 24, an abandoned bicycle was found. It will be kept at the police station until the owner comes forward.

On Thursday, Oct. 3, at 1:14 a.m. on the 100 block of Crestview Lane, Loretto, there was a report of a car alarm. The vehicle’s owner was located and the alarm shut off.

On Thursday, Oct. 3, at 5:39 p.m. at County Road 19 and Maple Street, party ran out of gas. Officer gave the driver a ride to get fuel.

On Thursday, Oct. 3, at 7:33 p.m. on the 3800 block of Linden Drive East, an officer was dispatched to check the area for a suspicious vehicle that was driving around the area for more than 30 minutes. Officer checked the area and located approximately 30 vehicles that were parked in the area and it was obvious that there was a party going on in the area.

On Sunday, Oct. 6, at 7:29 a.m. at Chippewa Road and County Road 19, there was a report of loose calves. Upon officer arrival, the owner was in the process of rounding the calves up. Calves were returned to the pen.

On Sunday, Oct. 6, at 11:36 p.m. on the 700 block of Highway 55, there was a report of a suspicious vehicle. Driver said he was waiting for a friend who was meeting him at that location. He said he was playing a game on his cellphone and did not see the officer approach. No problem found.

On Friday, Oct. 11, at 5:41 p.m. on the 2800 of Lakeshore Avenue, it was reported that a split-rail fence had been struck by an unknown vehicle.

On Friday, Oct. 11, at 6:32 p.m. on the 100 block of Railway Street, Loretto, there was a report of a female attempting to redeem old pull-tab tickets.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 12:06 a.m. on the 300 block of Clydesdale Trail, officer located a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. Occupants advised that they were just talking and smoking cigars. They were advised to move along.

On Wednesday Oct. 9, at 2:34 p.m. on the 1500 block of Homestead Trail, a small brown Yorkie was found on the side of the road. The dog appeared to have been struck by a car. It was transferred to a vet, and the owner picked the dog up from the clinic.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 5:47 p.m. at Willow Drive and the railroad tracks, officer received a report of a train smoking. Officer arrived and no smoke was observed.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 10:09 p.m. on the 600 block of Hamel Road, there was a report of a suspicious male seen walking by businesses on Tower Drive. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the individual.

On Friday, Oct. 11, at 11:44 a.m. on the 200 block of Hamel Road, a van was reported having been tampered with.
