Medina Police report

Following is a portion of the Medina Police Report for the week of Sept. 16 to Sept. 22.

Sept. 16, 2:15 a.m. Prowler report at 1900 Highcrest Dr., Medina. Dustin Morcomb, 24, and Rachel Belsheim, 22, both of Brooklyn Park arrested and transported to Hennepin County Adult Detention Center.

Sept. 18, 9:18 a.m.. Deer stuck in fence at 1100 block, Jubert Trail, Medina. Officer freed deer and he ran off into swamp.

Sept. 19, 6:27 a.m. Two company vans reportedly had back windows smashed out and unknown amount of copper wire removed at 800 block Meander Court, Medina.

Sept. 19, 10:48 a.m. Large tree fell in middle of intersection at Birch Avenue and Walnut Street in Medina. No smoke or fire was seen. Xcel Energy was notified that the tree was on power lines.

Sept. 19, 12:24 p.m. Driver drove away from 1300 Baker Park Road without paying for gas. Officer located driver who said she must have forgotten to pay for gas. She returned to gas station and paid.

Sept. 20, 2:59 p.m. Man reported that someone was taking fruits, vegetables and honey from his roadside stand at 3900 block of County Road 19.

Sept. 20, 3:04 p.m. Crew hit a gas line while replacing a culvert in 100 block Spur Circle, Medina.

Sept. 20, 11:48 p.m. Nathaniel Newman, 36, of Buffalo, arrested at 1300 block of Baker Park Road, Medina for criminal damage to property and fourth degree DWI after officers responded to a business alarm. Blood alcohol content of .18.

Sept. 21, 9:22 p.m. Officers dispatched to 00 block of Highway 55 to report a fight or domestic in progress. Anonymous caller had heard people yelling and screaming at each other. Tenant said two people had been arguing outside and then went to bed. Tenant was advised that she needed to keep her company quiet outside because they were surrounded by neighbors.

Following is a portion of the Medina Police Report for the week of Sept. 23 to Sept. 29.

Sept. 23, 9:18 a.m. Burglary report in 1500 block of Hunter Drive, Medina. Complete list of items taken was unknown.

Sept. 23, 1:20 p.m. Person pumped $55.57 worth of fuel at 1300 block of County Road 29, Medina and left without paying for it.

Sept. 23, 5:43 p.m. Person reported that crane was blocking part of roadway in 2800 block of Lakeshore Avenue, Medina. Person was concerned that someone might hit the crane overnight.

Sept. 24, 9:42 a.m. Dog was impounded from 800 block of Fox Path Court, Medina and later released to its owner.

Sept. 26, 5:12 p.m. Report of gas drive off in the amount of $40.91 from 700 block of Highway 55, Medina. Fuel was paid for later.

Sept. 26, 6:28 p.m. Suspects reportedly soliciting tree trimming services in 1800 block of Meadowwoods Trail, Medina. Christopher Strom, 26, of Little Falls, and Gerald Patnaude, 37, of Brainerd, were arrested for soliciting without a permit. They posted $100 in lieu of going to jail.

Sept. 26, 11:16 p.m. Marcus Lindala, 42, of Princeton, refused to submit to a breath test at Hamel Road and Brockton Lane, Medina.

Sept. 27, 7:35 p.m. Domestic call in 200 block of Mallard Lane, Loretto. Officers told all parties to stay away from each other and sleep it off.

Sept. 28, 12:31 p.m. Report of a gas drive off in the amount of $57.88 from 1300 block of Baker Park Road, Medina.

Sept. 29, 12:36 a.m. Report in 700 block of Highway 55, Medina. Melanie Ramirez, 27, of Plymouth, cited for taking a taxi cab ride and not paying for the services. Also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sept. 29, 5:06 p.m. Report of a number of cows loose near Hennepin County Public Works in 1600 Prairie Drive. Owner had been looking for them all day. Officers escorted the cows back to the pasture and secured them.
