Hennepin County Sheriff’s report

The following public safety summary information from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit is provided to residents as a public service. These highlights from Sept. 9 through Sept. 15, 2013, do not reflect all incidents handled or investigated by the HCSO during this time period.

In addition to the law enforcement services it provides throughout the county, the HCSO provides primary patrol services for the communities of Hassan Township, Greenfield, Medicine Lake and Fort Snelling, as well as the Hennepin County portions of Hanover and Rockford.

Greenfield 

On Sept. 9, deputies responded to a business on the 7500 block of Hwy. 55 for a gas drive off report. An employee reported the driver of a red Nissan put $58.72 worth of gas into the vehicle and did not pay for it.

On Sept. 9, deputies responded to an address on the 8600 block of Whisper Creek Trail for a medical. A 53-year-old female fell. Hanover Rescue and North Memorial Ambulance arrived to take over care. The victim was transported by North Memorial Ambulance. No other action was needed.

On Sept. 10, deputies responded to a business on the 7500 block of Hwy. 55 for a gas drive off. An employee reported the suspect vehicle put $30 worth of gas into the vehicle and did not pay for it.

On Sept. 10, deputies responded to an address on the 7600 block of 69th Avenue N. on a medical. A 31-year-old male was having a severe headache. North Ambulance arrived and transported the victim to Buffalo Hospital. No other action was needed.

On Sept. 11, deputies responded to an address on the 7200 block of Rebecca Park Trail for a domestic report. A 52-year-old male received injuries after a 55-year-old female attacked him. The female was arrested for domestic assault. The report was sent to a Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective for information.

On Sept. 11, deputies responded to an address on the 6400 block of North Shore Drive for a medical. A 49-year-old female was having heart problems. The deputy provided oxygen until North Memorial paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to North Memorial Hospital. No other action was needed.

On Sept. 11, deputies responded to the area of County Road 50 and Tamarack Road to a signal car property damage accident report. The driver of the vehicle reported he was going too fast when he approached the turn, causing the brakes to lock. The vehicle struck the guardrail head on. The vehicle was impounded. A State Accident report was completed. No other action was needed.

On Sept. 13, deputies responded to a business on the 7500 block of Hwy. 55 for a theft report. An employee reported the driver of a white Mazda put $15.01 worth of gas into the vehicle and did not pay for it.

On Sept.13, deputies responded to an address on the 7100 block of Queen Street for a medical report. A 69-year-old male was stung by a swarm of bees. Loretto Fire was on scene providing medical care. North Memorial Ambulance transported the victim to North Memorial Hospital for care. No other action was needed.

On Sept. 14, deputies responded to an address on the 6000 block of 78th Lane N. for a residential alarm. The deputy arrived and checked all the doors and windows. Everything appeared to be okay. No contact with the homeowner. No other action was needed.
