Property damage

The department reported a property damage accident Monday, Sept. 9 at 6:51 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 30. Vehicle #1 was in the right turn lane to turn north onto County Rd. 19 from County Rd. 30. The driver of vehicle #1 stated they did not see the bicycle traveling south on the bike path north of County Rd. 30. The bicycle attempted to cross the intersection and they were struck by the vehicle. Medical attention was declined by all parties at the scene.

The department reported a property damage accident Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 6:45 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 10 and County Rd. 19. The reporting party stated that they had been “bumped” into at the intersection of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 10 at approximately 6:19 p.m. The reporting party stated they were traveling northbound on County Rd. 19 and had stopped at the intersection of County Rd. 10. When they began to proceed through the intersection, the vehicle behind them “bumped” into the back of their vehicle. The reporting party stated there was very little damage to their vehicle; however the other driver did not stop. The reporting party wanted the police to locate the other driver and find out why they did not stop. The Officer will be attempting to contact the other driver.

The department reported a property damage accident Friday, Sept. 13 at 5:01 p.m. in the area of County Rd 19 and County Rd. 30. Both vehicles were westbound on County Rd. 30 turning right onto County Rd. 19. Both vehicles had moved past the stop sign into the intersection to obtain a better view before turning. Vehicle #1 had pulled straight forward and vehicle #2 had followed the fog ling for the right turn lane, which placed that vehicle north of vehicle #1 in the intersection. Both vehicles attempted to turn at the same time and made contact with each other.

The department reported a property damage accident Friday, Sept. 13 at 8:19 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 30 and Cain Rd. The vehicle was westbound on County Rd. 30, near Cain Rd., when a deer struck the driver’s side door of the vehicle. The reporting party stated the deer had made contact with the driver’s side front quarter panel before hitting the door, which caused the airbag to deploy, which caused the driver’s side window to shatter.

Theft

Theft of funds was reported Friday, Sept. 13 at 3:42 p.m. in the 223XX block of Larsen Rd. The reporting party stated they had signed a contract with a company to sell items with an auction service. They do not have a copy of the contract and received a check for $400.00, which the reporting party feels is inadequate for the items that had been auctioned. The Officer is waiting for further paperwork before forwarding the case to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.

Medicals

The department responded to a medical emergency Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 4:18 a.m. in the 195XX block of Country Cir E. A 78 year old male was nauseaous and had abdomen pain. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center by North Ambulance.

The department responded to a medical emergency Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 10:39 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. An adult male was passed out on the bed, but is still breathing. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center by North Ambulance.

The department responded to a medical emergency Thursday, Sept. 12 at 5:11 a.m. in the 195XX block of County Rd. 30. A 74 year old male was having trouble breathing and was vomiting. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center by North Ambulance.

The department responded to a medical emergency Thursday, Sept. 12 at 6:48 p.m. in the 80XX block of Corcoran Tr. W. An 86 year old female had fallen. The Officers and Firefighters assisted the female by helping her back into her wheel chair.

Miscellaneous

The department responded to a report of a fight on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7:15 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. There was a fight between two students on the school bus. The school bus stopped on the side of the road and both students were removed from the bus and separated. It was discovered that there was an on-going problem between the two students and it escalated today on the bus. The incident was reported to the student’s mothers, school and the school’s Resource Officer. The school will be handling the situation from here on out.

The department responded to a report of harassment on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 5:35 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated they wanted to report comments placed on Facebook in regards the earlier report of a fight on a school bus. The Officer took information regarding a video and comments being placed on Facebook about the fight. The information has been passed along to the school and the school’s Resource Officer.

The department responded to a report of a domestic on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 10:33 a.m. in the 72XX block of Rebecca Park Tr. The Officer assisted Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic assault in the City of Greenfield.

The department responded to a report of an abduction on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 9:21 p.m. in the City of Medina. The Corcoran PD assisted the Medina PD with the search for and apprehension of two suspects in an abduction case.

The department responded to a report of a grass fire on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 6:34 p.m. in the 80XX block of Corcoran Tr. W. The reporting party stated their neighbor had a pit fire, thought it was out and now there was a fire burning out of control. Officers arrived on scene and observed a small fire in a pit along with a charred grass area south of it, which was smoking, but not burning. The reporting party had put the fire out before the Officer’s arrival. Rogers Fire Department arrived and extinguished the remaining fire. Officer made contact with the homeowner later in the evening and found that they had a fire earlier, but thought the fire was out before they left.

The department responded to a report of loud music on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 10:49 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 116 and Jackie La. The reporting party stated there was loud music coming from a residence. The Officer arrived in the area and was able to hear music from more than 500 feet from the residence in question. As the Officer moved closer to the residence, he was able to tell the music was coming from the detached garage on the property. The Officer made contact with the party who lives at the residence. The party apologized and stated they did not think the music was that loud. The Officer advised them of the city noise ordinance and issued them a citation for the noise violation.

The department responded to a report of shots heard on Friday, Sept. 13 at 6:11 p.m. in the 218XX block of Country Hills Dr. The reporting party stated they heard a number of gunshots. Officers checked the area and found a resident had been shooting clay pigeons with a shotgun. This is within city firearms regulations. The reporting party was advised.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious act on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 12:15 a.m. in the 217XX block of County Rd. 10. The reporting party stated their dog was barking, which is unusual behavior. The Officer checked the yard and outbuildings and found nothing suspicious.

The department responded to a report of a disturbance on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10:17 p.m. in the 107XX block of Robert La. The reporting party stated there were loud drums in the area. The Officer spoke with the homeowner of where the music was coming from and were advised they would turn the music down.

The department responded to a report of a disturbance on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10:49 p.m. in the 198XX block of Jackie La. The Officer spoke with the homeowner regarding the loud music. They were apologetic and advised they would turn the music down.

The department responded to a report of a person carrying a weapon on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 10:07 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated they saw a male carrying a rifle near the entrance to the park talking with 2 people. The Officer arrived on scene to find that a male in a vehicle had allegedly threatened another male and the third male had walked outside their house with an unloaded rifle and asked the male in the vehicle to leave. The male did so. The Officer attempted to locate the vehicle and found it. The Officer made contact with the driver and received his side of the story. It appears it was a verbal altercation between the males. No further police assistance needed at this time.

The department responded to a report of an unwanted person on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 6:51 p.m. in the 201XX block of County Rd. 10. The reporting party stated there was a patron in the parking lot causing trouble; was told to leave and now is threatening to bring a gun back to the business. The reporting party advised there was no physical contact with the person while he was in the business. Both patrons and the reporting party felt the person may have been under the influence of narcotics. Officers attempted to locate the suspect, but were unable to.
