Dayton resident awarded national scholarship

Dayton resident, Andrew Urvig, has been awarded an $8,000 Making A Difference scholarship by Royal Neighbors of America.

A payment of $2,000 will be made to his college of choice in four annual installments and will be used to help fund tuition, room and board, and books.

Since its creation in 1961, the Royal Neighbors of America Scholarship Program has awarded more than $4 million to its members to assist with the costs of continuing education. The program accepts applications from its beneficial members annually from September 1 through March 1.

Royal Neighbors of America, one of the nation’s largest women-led life insurance companies, exists for the benefit of its members. It offers insurance products to fulfill financial needs of growth, savings, and protection. Members receive valuable benefits and can participate in volunteer activities through the organization’s local chapters to help make a difference in their communities.
