The Maple Grove Library will offer fun, free events for all members of the family this September.
Upcoming events at the Maple Grove Library, 8001 Main Street N., include:
“Senior Surf Day,” Thursday, Sept. 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Register online or call the library. Learn computer basics, how to navigate and search the Internet and how to access websites of interest to seniors. Get hands-on computer experience with help from representatives of the Senior LinkAge Line. Presented in collaboration with Minnesota Board on Aging and Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging.
“Toddler Storytime,” Thursdays, Sept. 12 through Nov. 21, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. — For children ages 2 and 3. Interact with a toddler to nurture a love of books. Learn letters, sounds, and new words. Be active with music and movement.
“Baby Storytime,” Fridays, Sept. 13 through Oct. 4, from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. or from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. — Register online or call the library. For children from birth to 24 months. Delight and stimulate a baby’s senses with books and music. Build brain power.
“Adult Book Club,” Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. — Join the discussion of new and interesting titles. Bring along recommendations for future meetings. Reading for Sept. 18: When She Woke,” by Hillary Jordan. Sponsored by Friends of the Maple Grove Library.
“Teen Anime Club,” Saturday, Sept. 21, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. — For teens. Watch anime, discuss manga and share artwork. Something different every time. Sponsored by Friends of the Maple Grove Library.
“Mystery Adult Book Club,” Monday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. — Join the discussion of new and interesting mystery titles. Bring along recommendations for future meetings. Reading for Sept. 23: “Hush,” by Anne Frasier. Sponsored by Friends of the Maple Grove Library.
