Arc’s Value Village needs volunteers

Arc’s Value Village is seeking volunteers to assist in the thrift store’s Halloween Boo-tique, which will be stocked with costumes.

Value Village is looking for volunteers ages 14 and older to spend a few hours helping with the Boo-tique this September, especially at the following times and places:

• Monday, Sept. 16 – Starting at 9 a.m. at the 4-H building at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds, volunteers will help unload four trailers of merchandise for the Celebration of Sorts event, which takes place the following day at the same location.

• Tuesday, Sept. 17 – Volunteers are needed for the A Celebration of Sorts event, which takes place in the 4-H building at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds. There, volunteers will sort and tag piles of merchandise. Available shifts are from 9 a.m. to noon, 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Volunteers are especially needed for the morning and evening shifts. Organizers will offer music, entertainment and refreshments.

• Wednesday, Sept. 18 – Starting at 9 a.m., Value Village needs volunteers to help load trucks full of merchandise at the state fair grounds.

• Thursday, Sept. 19 – Starting at 9 a.m., volunteers will stock the Boo-tique and get a sneak peak at costumes and decorations. Volunteers are needed at all Value Village locations: Brooklyn Center, New Hope, Richfield and St. Paul.

Arc’s is dedicated to raising funds for programs and services serving people with intellectual disabilities.
