The Champlin City Council will meet Monday, Sept. 9 in the city council chambers at 7:00 p.m.
There will be a council work session held in the Mayor and City Council Conference Room at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the 2014 preliminary budget.
Before the regularly scheduled meeting there will be an Economic Development Authority work session at 6:45 in the council chambers to discuss the proposed 2014 budget and levy.
The council will convene at 7 p.m. On the agenda for the night, there will be a special presentation by Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman on crime statistics in the city. There will be an overview of the work session discussion and a proclamation designating the week of Sept. 16-22 as Minnesota Women of Today Week in Champlin.
The consent agenda includes: accepting the bid and awarding the contract for White Oaks Trail and authorizing the change for the 2013 St. seal coat program.
There will be a public hearing regarding an on sale wine license for Giza Grill Japanese Restaurant.
The last matter the council will discuss is a resolution adopting the 2014 adopting the 2014 preliminary budget and tax levy and establishing budget public hearing dates. There will be a resolution approving preliminary property tax levy for economic development activities for the 2014 fiscal year.
