Find out what there is to do at the 37th Osseo Lions Roar

Most of the events of Osseo Lions Roar take place along Third Street N.W., between Central Avenue and First Avenue N.W. unless otherwise noted.

 

FRIDAY, SEPT. 6

There will be a book sale from noon to 4 p.m. at the Osseo Community Center, 415 Central Ave. This sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

The Arts in the Park and Sidewalk Sale will take place from noon to 5 p.m. along Central Avenue and in Boerboom Memorial Park across from Osseo City Hall. Sponsored by the Osseo Business Association.

All new carnival rides open at 4 p.m. and will close at 11 p.m.

The Lions Food Tent is back from 4 to 11 p.m. Menu options include: grilled pork chops, hot dogs, Polish sausage, roast beef sandwiches and turkey legs. Coke products and bottle water served by Boy Scout Troop 211 and mini donuts provided by Hopkins Noontime Lions.

A beer garden featuring strong beer and wine will be open from 4 to 11 p.m.

The Urban Myth Band will perform from 7 to 11 p.m. on the main stage.

 

SATURDAY, SEPT. 7

The book sale continues from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the community center.

Art in the Park and Sidewalk Sale will be displayed 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. along Central Avenue and in Boerboom Memorial Park.

Carnival rides will be available between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m.

A beer garden featuring strong beer and wine will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Lions Food Tent is back from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Menu options include: grilled pork chops, hot dogs, Polish sausage, roast beef sandwiches and turkey legs. Coke products and bottle water served by Boy Scout Troop 211 and mini donuts provided by Hopkins Noontime Lions.

The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 11 a.m., with the race starting at the track stadium at Osseo Senior High School. The race will be throughout the city. The parade kicks off at noon at Sipe Park and runs through the city to the final designation of Osseo Senior High School.

There will be cake and ice cream from noon to 4 p.m. at the Osseo Senior Center inside Osseo City Hall.

Bingo will be available from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Osseo Senior Center.

The Papa Nut Band will perform from 3 to 7 p.m. on the main stage.

A free ice cream social will be from 3 to 4 p.m. This is compliments of the Osseo Lions and Kemps Ice Cream.

Family Bingo will be played from 3 to 6 p.m. under the Premier Bank Drive Thru.

The Mooseknuckle Brothers Band will end the festivities with a performance from 7 to 11 p.m. on the main stage.
