Steep job at the Historic Church steeple

Contractors hoist a huge crane to the top of the St. Michael Historic Church Wednesday, Aug. 28. Last winter one of the wooden hands fell off one of the clock faces which are as old as the building, 121 years. The Verdin Company installed four new clock faces, with the use of 2 cranes on site. A Sept. 27 pork chop dinner is planned at the St. Michael American Legion to raise funds for the project. (Sun staff photo by Aaron Brom)
