Delano Middle School drama students will bring to life the story of “Little Mermaid Jr.” in performances Thursday, Sept. 5 through Saturday, Sept. 7, at the DMS auditorium, located on Tiger Drive north of Elm Avenue in Delano.

Performance times will be at 7 p.m. on Sept. 5 and 6, and 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7. Tickets will cost $5 at the door.

Fifty-five cast members in grades five through eight will be involved in the production based upon the Hans Christian Anderson story and Disney movie. Ariel, the little mermaid, wants more than anything to be a human. When she saves Prince Eric from drowning, she wants it more than ever. Performances will feature Disney song favorites such as “Under the Sea” and “Part of Your World.”

Director Barb Roy called this annual middle school play a “perfect family evening.”

Delano Community Education is sponsoring the production.
