Monday, Aug. 19
Officers were dispatched to an unknown medical, person down at a business in the 20000 block of South Diamond Lake Road. Officers were informed employees found him slumped over the steering wheel of a fork lift and moved him to a safer location. When they moved the patient, he passed out. Patient had a low pulse, hands were cool to the touch and his breathing was shallow. Officers provided medical attention until Paramedics arrived on scene. Patient was transported to Maple Grove Hospital.
Officers were dispatched to a medical, male slumped over in a vehicle and not moving at 21708 Rouillard Blvd. Officers arrived on scene and determine the male subject was deceased. Hennepin County Detectives, Crime Lab and Medical Examiner were contact to assist with the case.
Officer observed the vehicle traveling eastbound on Interstate 94 and cross its right side tires over the center line. Officer also observed the passenger throw a lit cigarette out the window and strike my patrol vehicle. Vehicle was stopped and Heidi Jean Stottler, 38, was cited for driving while revoked.
Tuesday, Aug. 20
Officers responded to an unknown problem regarding a female laying in the grass at a gas station. When Officers arrived, it was determined a male and female traveling through Rogers had a verbal argument and the female party walked away to try to calm down. Further investigation led Officers to believe that the female had mental health issues, but denied wanting to harm herself or others. Officers spoke at length to both parties as the female was given an advocacy card with resources to help her mental health. Male party was OK with continuing to travel with the female as they left together en route to St Paul.
While on patrol officer heard Maple Grove PD being dispatched to a theft in progress at Target. Two suspects were inside the store and they were preparing to leave with two carts of unpaid merchandise. Maple Grove was tied up on a house fire, and they only had one car responding. Rogers officer responded to assist. When arrived-the suspect took off in a small red vehicle with no plates on it. A pursuit began and the suspect was taken into custody when he became blocked in by heavy traffic.
One not stopping initiated by Hennepin County on 694/Brooklyn Blvd in Brooklyn Center. Party was pursued and then followed to Rogers on Main St/141st Avenue where a traffic stop was made by Deputies and Officers. Rogers Officers provided cover, and assistance for the stop. Probable psych issue, and party was transported by North.
Franklin Lee Stanley, 22, was cited for revoked license and revoked plates at Main Street and 141st Avenue.
Wednesday, Aug. 21
Gary Ivan Morrison, 46, was cited for expired registration and no proof of motor vehicle insurance at Main Street and I-94.
Thursday, Aug. 22
Assisted State Patrol on 3 vehicle personal injury crash on east Interstate 94, west of Main Street. A passenger car, traveling west bound, went over the crash barrier fence and struck two east bound passenger cars. One adult male transported by North Ambulance.
Friday, Aug. 23
Rusi Georgiev, 52, was cited for inattentive driving, resulting in property damage crash at 141st Avenue and Main Street.
Jamie Richard Wiome, 36, was cited for Inattentive Driving stemming from Personal Injury crash at Sylvan Lake Road and Territorial Road. Driver transported to Waconia Hospital via North Ambulance.
Daniel Lee Dittes, 41, was cited for Fail To Obey Traffic Control Device (Sign), No Seatbelt, Proof MV Insurance Citations From NB Main Street made U-turn with No U-turn signs x2 and went SB on Main Street.
Saturday, Aug. 24
Personal injury hit and run (rear-end collision – passenger car vs. SUV) at the intersection of Rogers Drive/South Diamond Lake Road. Pregnant female seen by North Ambulance, but refused transport. Partial plate of suspect vehicle obtained – XLE… Suspect vehicle described as white Ford Explorer. Suspect vehicle should have minor damage to front and possible grey paint transfer.
Sunday, Aug. 25
In the early morning officers located numerous vehicles and houses that were egged in the Mallard Estates area. Officers checked the area extensively but couldn’t locate the suspects. The egg carton and an uknown type of sign with a number “6” on it was recovered in the area. Officers determined that Walmart sells the type of eggs used at the scene. Officers contacted Maple Grove Walmart and determined that a group of three teenagers purchased two cases of five dozen eggs each at 11:46 p.m. Aug. 23. Officers obtained surveillance footage that shows the suspects leaving Walmart with a sign that had the number “6” on it. Officers are now attempting to identify them. On Aug. 24 day shift took several vandalism reports related to the egging of the houses and vehicles.
Officers responded to a Intoxicated male pounding on the door of a residence at 128th Avenue. Male has been living at residence since May 2013 and was transported to Main Detox Minneapolis.
Officers received traffic complaints by two different callers of six to seven crotch rocket type motorcycles popping wheelies on westbound I-94 and going a distance of approximately 1/2 mile. Callers stated that some of the drivers were jumping off the motorcycle and standing on the left side of the cycle as it was traveling down I94. Caller stated all of them were popping wheelies as they made the S curves from Brockton Lane just after County Road 81 overhead bridge. Callers advised he was following the motorcycles as they turned off into Rogers and were taking a right onto Diamond Lake Road South. Officers stopped the (7) motor cycles east bound Diamond Lake Road at 20600 block area. Cited were Maxwell Epstein, 25; Christopher Miles, 25; Robert Batta, 24; Dylan Asher, 20; Joe Stephens, 31; Nathan Olson, 24; and Christopher Larson, 21.
