“Attendance was excellent despite the 90-plus temperatures,” notes Schleper. “We’ve hit the 9,000 mark after the second weekend and are around 1,500 ahead of the pace of the tourney in St. Cloud last year.”
Class B games come to Delano starting on Friday. Two of the finest teams in the state will meet with Cold Spring taking on Shakopee. These are the last two undefeated teams in the tourney. Class B is a double elimination tourney while Class C is single elimination.
“We still can use volunteers to work a shift or two this coming weekend,” adds Schleper. “We are grateful for the 250-plus volunteers who have helped out so far.”
