Delano Partners in Education (DPIE) and the Delano Lions will host their ninth annual Benefit Trap Shoot from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, at Park Gun Club located near the intersection of Highway 12 and County Road 6.
All proceeds will go to DPIE to support its activities. An entry fee of $40 for adults and $20 for students will pay for one 25 round shoot, food and drink. Additional rounds will cost $10. The entry fee includes hamburgers, brats, other food items and beverages.
Instruction will be available for beginning shooters. In addition to traditional trap shooting there will be Annie Oakley, wobble trap and doubles events. All shooters will be eligible for a wide array of door prizes compliments of local merchants.
Mike Bauer, a Lions representative working the event, commented, “This is a great event. Shooters of all abilities will enjoy the day. There will be excellent instruction for beginning shooters. I started participating in this event several years ago and my son and I have had a great time. I am pleased that the Delano Lions continue to be part of the event.”
