The following contains a sample of calls reported by Rogers Police from Monday, Aug. 5, through Sunday, Aug. 11.

Monday, Aug. 5

Caller reported chickens loose in her yard twice at 20237 Mallard Way. She learned from neighbors where they belonged and returned them. She was concerned about proper enclosures given they had been loose. Officers spoke with the owner of two chickens (no roosters) in the neighborhood. She stated she has owned the chickens as pets over the summer. She had a small wire enclosure and acknowledges she lets them out daily to roam in her unfenced yard. She was advised it is against ordinance to possess the chickens in the city. She was given one week to comply with the ordinance, community service officer will follow up with owner.

Searching for suspect related to case 13008374 in the 14200 block of Jodis Drive. While on scene officers came across suspected meth and other signs of drug use in the home. Violent Offender Task Force was contacted and a search warrant was executed at the home. One male party taken into custody and transported to jail for 5th degree controlled substance crimes.

A business owner received a phone call from a party claiming to be owed money for electrical services not rendered. The caller wanted to be paid cash or he threatened to disconnect power in 48 hours. Complainant reached out to property manager and learned from the power company that three additional Chinese restaurants had a similar call from the same phone number out of St. Cloud area. Business will receive additional patrol and contact the PD for any additional suspicious activity.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

Reporting party said that his debit card was used without his permission on the evening of Aug. 4. Unknown suspects charged $225. Reporting party said that his card was also used at the Monticello Target Aug. 4. Reporting party discovered the transactions on August 5th while checking his bank statement.

Barbara Lynn Timm, 47, was cited for texting while driving at South Diamond Lake Road and Main Street.

Chad Allen Oconnor, 39, was cited for texting while driving at Main Street and Interstate 94.

Thursday, Aug. 8

Theft from Auto Report at The Preserve Apartments at Commerce Boulevard. Vehicle’s driver’s side door had been punched and several items stolen. Vehicle had been parked overnight in the underground garage.

Theft From Auto and damage to driver’s side door lock at 13600 Commerce Blvd. Taken was a Lap Top Computer and black computer case, Garmin GPS Unit, Garage door Fob to Apartment complex.

Officer responded to a property damage hit and run crash that just occurred at Brockton and County Rd. 81. Vehicle description was a black Cadillac. Officers could not locate vehicle. Victim continued on his way home to Brooklyn Park. Victim wanted to come in tomorrow to make the report. Officer advised victim to come in tonight. Victim responded to Rogers Police Department and Officer took the report.

Amanda Jo Eik, 30, was cited for texting while driving, at South Diamond Lake Road and Main Street.

Friday, Aug. 9

Three vehicle personal injury crash, Main Street/ South Diamond Lake Road. Cory Vernon Erickson, 22, was cited for careless driving.

Christy Raeann Pufahl, 42, was cited for driving after suspension and no proof insurance at 21550 South Diamond Lake Rd.

Saturday, Aug. 10

Alannah Colleen Theis, 22, was cited for inattentive driving after a two-car crash at Main Street and I-94.

Imani Capri Thomas, 20, was cited for inattentive driving after a two-car crash at Hwy. 101 and I-94.

Richard John Lentner, 52, was cited for no seatbelt and no proof of insurance at South Diamond Lake Road and Main Street.

Michael Thomas Hagel, 24, was issued a citation for texting while driving at South Diamond Lake Road and Main Street.

Sunday, Aug. 11

Felony theft of Cabelas merchandise. Derek Robert Holt, 29, and Alex James Tahedl, 25, were arrested for felony theft and booked at the Hennepin County Jail. Suspect vehicle was impounded and held at the Rogers PD.
