CALL TO ORDER A regular meeting of the Independent School District 279 School Board was held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in the Board Room at the Educational Service Center. Chairperson Henke called the meeting to order at 8:02 PM.
ROLL CALL The following members were present: Board members Dean Henke, Teresa Lunt, Tammie Epley, Jim Burgett, Jacki Girtz, Linda Etim and Superintendent Dr. Kate Maguire.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA Motion by Chairperson Dean Henke, seconded by Director Tammie Epley, to accept the printed agenda. The motion carried unanimously.
AUDIENCE OPPORTUNITY TO ADDRESS THE SCHOOL BOARD
SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT
SCHOOL BOARD REPORTS The following School Board reports were read: May 21, 2013 and June 4, 2013 closed work session reports; June 11, 2013 property committee report and the June 18, 2013 school board work session report.
CONSENT AGENDA The consent agenda consists of minutes of the regular School Board meeting held on June 4, 2013, financial matters, personnel matters, student trips, and business matters. Motion by Chairperson Dean Henke, seconded by Director Teresa Lunt, to approve items as printed in the Consent Agenda. The motion carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2014 BUDGET Motion by Chairperson Dean Henke, seconded by Director Tammie Epley, to approve the FY 2014 Budget. The motion carried unanimously.
GIFTS TO THE DISTRICT Motion by Chairperson Dean Henke, seconded by Director Linda Etim, to approve the Gifts to the District totaling $107,350.59. The motion carried unanimously.
RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL, AGREEMENT ON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT BETWEEN THE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT 279 SCHOOL BOARD, AND ADMINISTRATIVE EDUCATIONSL SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS, JULY 1, 2012 – JUNE 30, 2014 Motion by Director Teresa Lunt, seconded by Director Tammie Epley, to approve the Terms and Conditions of Employment between the Independent School District 279 School Board, and Administrative Educational Support Professionals, July 1, 2012 –June 30, 2014. The motion carried on a 5 to 1 vote with Chairperson Dean Henke voting no.
SCHOOL BOARD POLICY RECOMMENDATION Motion by Chairperson Dean Henke, seconded by Director Tammie Epley, to approve the second and final reading of new School Board Policy 423 – Employee-Student Relationships. The motion carried unanimously.
SCHOOL BOARD POLICY RECOMMENDATION Motion by Chairperson Dean Henke, seconded by Director Tammie Epley, to approve the second and final reading of revised School Board Policy 419 – Tobacco-Free Environment. The motion carried unanimously.
SCHOOL BOARD POLICY RECOMMENDATION Motion by Chairperson Dean Henke, seconded by Director Teresa Lunt, to approve the second and final reading for the repeal of current School Board Policies: 433 – Assignment and Transfer; 438 – Student Teachers; 439 – Summer School Teachers; 444 – Teacher Meet and Confer; 445 – Public Employee Rights and Obligations; 446 – Military Leave. The motion carried unanimously.

CITY OF MAPLE GROVE
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MAPLE GROVE ZONING ORDINANCE
BY AMENDING ZONING DISTRICTS THEREIN
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MAPLE GROVE DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. The zoning classification of the property described in Section 2, as shown on the zoning map referred to in Section 36-182 of the Maple Grove Ordinance Code, is hereby amended from R-A, Single-Family Agricultural to R-2, PUD, Single-Family Residential, Planned Unit Development.
SECTION 2. PROPERTY DESCRIPTION. – Located at 7780 Lawndale Lane. PID#20-119-22-33-0014.
SECTION 3. EFFECT. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as required by law and upon the filing of the final plat of Stella Ridge.
