Property damage

The department reported a property damage incident Monday, July 29 at 8:47 a.m. in the area of 80XX of County Rd. 116. The reporting party stated that sometime between July 27 and July 29, an unknown person had thrown a small rock at their mailbox, damaging it. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.

Theft

Attempted Theft of funds was reported Monday, July 29 at 12:11 p.m. in the 196XX block of 81st Place N. The reporting party stated an unknown person had attempted to use their credit card. Their VISA card company did not allow the charge to go through. The VISA card was cancelled and a new one issued. No loss reported.

Medicals

The department responded to a medical emergency Sunday, Aug. 4 at 3:43 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. A 61 year old female was having chest pains. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

Miscellaneous

The department responded to a report of a civil issue on Wednesday, July 31 at 5:13 p.m. in the 104XX block of County Rd. 101. The reporting party stated they had allowed a friend to rent the upstairs for a while and the friend then allowed their daughter and her boyfriend to move in also. The reporting party stated the daughter and boyfriend were rude and verbally assaulting towards the reporting party. The reporting party had given the friend a 30 day notice to move out and the daughter was supposed to be out the next day, but the reporting party wanted them out today. The Officer spoke with the friend and found out that they were moving out the next day, in time for the deal they made to be out by the first of the month. All parties were advised to leave each other alone for the night.

The department responded to a report of a civil matter on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 9:54 p.m. in the 104XX block of County Rd. 101. The reporting party stated their renter had gone in the reporting party’s area of the house. It was noted that the only bathroom in the residence was on the main floor. The renter advised they had gone to the bathroom, but the reporting party stated the renter had never used it before and they thought the renter was trying to take their pans. Officers advised the parties to stay away from each other for the night as the renter was moving out the next morning.

The department responded to a report of a civil matter on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 11:41 a.m. in the 236XX block of Strehler Rd. The reporting party was requesting assistance from the police for a court order in which they were given permission to go to their property and take photos of property items for their pending divorce. The Police were unable to assist at that time due to the court order showing it was for a storage unit, not the residence or garage.

The department responded to a report of a welfare check on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 12:17 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated there were young children walking in the street and would like someone to check on them. The Officer found the children and when they went to their house, the Officer found that an older brother was supposed to be watching the kids. The brother was unaware that the younger kids had left the residence. The parents were advised.

The department responded to a report of a harassment order violation on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 3:14 p.m. in the 236XX block of Strehler Rd. The reporting party stated their ex-husband has violated the harassment order by driving by the property and sending text messages. The report will be forwarded to the City attorney for review of charges.

The department responded to a report of a disturbance on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 8:37 p.m. in the 64XX block of Elm St. The reporting party stated there were kids screaming at the geese at the pond. The kids were gone upon the Officer’s arrival.

The department responded to a report of shots heard on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 11:06 p.m. in the 212XX block of Larkin Rd. The Officer made contact with two males having a campfire just west of the reporting party’s residence. The males admitted to setting off fireworks they had left over from the Fourth of July. The males were advised their actions were disruptive to their neighbors and to stop this type of behavior. The reporting party was advised it was fireworks.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious person on Friday, Aug. 2 at 11:55 a.m. in the 195XX block of County Rd. 30. The reporting party stated a man had asked to use the phone because his car was broken down. After the reporting party let the man use the phone, the man wouldn’t leave the property. The Officer escorted the man to another location to wait for his ride.

The department responded to a report of a road-rage incident on Friday, Aug. 2 at 6:53 p.m. in the area of Highway 55 and Pioneer Tr. The reporting party stated the suspect driver became upset with them and began throwing things at their vehicle. The suspect pulled over and began to challenge the reporting party to a fight. The suspect chased after the reporting party on foot. The reporting party gave the Officer the license plate of the suspect vehicle. The Officer was able to locate the vehicle and driver. The suspect stated they did not chase after the other vehicle and that the other driver had given them the finger. The Officer advised the suspect that their behavior was disorderly and very dangerous. The case is being reviewed for possible charges.

The department responded to a report of a juvenile issue on Friday, Aug. 2 at 11:21 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 101 and Gleason Rd. The reporting party stated there were 2-3 kids throwing rocks at cars. The Officer was able to locate some kids in the area; however it was unclear if they were the suspects throwing rocks at cars.

The department responded to a report of an assault on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 3:42 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. Dispatch advised the Officer that reporting party had called in and stated they had been assaulted. While enroute to the call, the Officers received a call from the brother of the reporting party stating that their mentally-challenged brother had made the call because he was upset that they were arguing. Nothing physical had happened. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the reporting party. He stated they argued over the purchase of a radio, but nothing was physical.

The department responded to a report of fireworks on Sunday, Aug. 4 at 12:27 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated someone was setting off fireworks. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate any one setting off fireworks.

The department responded to a report of a loud party on Sunday, Aug. 4 at 12:47 a.m. in the 198XX block of Jackie Lane. The reporting party stated there was a loud party with music and people out in front of the house being loud. The Officer arrived on scene and advised the residents of the loud party complaint.

The department responded to a report of a loud party on Sunday, Aug. 4 at 2:32 a.m. in the 100XX block of Meadow Cir. The reporting party stated there was a loud party with screaming and yelling going on. Officers located the party and advised the party goers to turn the music off. The party goers turned the music down and became very disrespectful to the Officer. The Officer advised the party to go inside. As the Officer was walking away, the party goers continued to yell and scream loudly. The Officer returned and advised the homeowner that if the Police were called back to the residence for the loud party again, they would be cited.
