St. Michael native Lexy Ramler continues to make strides in pursuit of her dream to someday qualify for the USA Olympic Gymnastics team.

Already competing at junior national elite status, the 14-year old Ramler – who trains at KidSport Gymnastics in Winona – recently qualified for the 2013 P & G Championships held August 15-18 in Hartford, Conn.

She qualified for the P & G Championships as a result of her 12th-place finish at the 2013 American Classic on July 6 at the Karolyi Ranch in Texas. An all-around score of 51.650 included a top-10 finish on the beam with a score of 13.200. She also scored 13.350 on vault, 12.200 on uneven bars and 12.900 on floor.

Ramler is currently one of 28 junior elite qualifiers to stamp their ticket to the P & G Championships either through the American Classic or through training camps or international assignments.
