Meet the 2013 Maple Grove Ambassadors

The Maple Grove Ambassador Program is proud to introduce its newest Ambassadors. Libby Wanner, Anna Worel and Alexa Castonguay were crowned Friday, July 12, from 14 candidates, to represent Maple Grove throughout the surrounding communities, as well as within the city.

Here are the 2013 Maple Grove Ambassadors, left to right: Alexa Castonguay, Libby Wanner and Anna Worel. The girls have already participated in Maple Grove Days events, as well as the Minneapolis Aquatennial and Hopkins Raspberry Festival.

Already, the new Ambassadors have participated in the Maple Grove Days events at the Community Center, Aquatennial’s The Best Days of Summer, and the Hopkins Raspberry Festival.

Libby Wanner will be a sophomore at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities studying conservation biology. In high school, she was the captain of the track and field and cross-country teams. She enjoys spending time outside, horseback riding and caring for her adopted cow, Delilah.

Anna Worel recently graduated from Osseo Senior High and has plans to attend Augsburg in the fall to study psychology, teaching or music therapy. She loves music and can play the guitar and eukelele.

Alexa Castonguay will be a senior at Maple Grove Senior High. She has been on the A and B honor roll and was recently vote Miss Congeniality by her classmates. When she’s not horseback riding, you’ll find her snowboarding, writing or baking.
