Cross Community Players presents “Children of Eden” for its summer production. The show runs through July 28.
From the creators of “Godspell,” “Pippin” and “LesMiserables” comes this joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children and their search for understanding. “Children of Eden” is a musical parable based on the first nine chapters of the Book of Genesis, from Adam and Eve to Noah and The Great Flood. “Children of Eden” examines the age of conflict between the generations with a message that is as inspiring as it is timeless.
The cast includes a wide collection of actors ranging from 7-years-old and up. It includes 10 families and more that have come together to tell the audience this story: a father and son; a father and daughter; a mother and daughter; a mother, father and daughter; a mother and her three children; and brother and sister.
One family, the Dexters, includes three generations, each generation proving to the other their admiration for the theatre.
Tickets for “Children of Eden” are on sale now at crossplayers.org. Ticket prices are $12 and $17. Performances will be at Osseo Senior High, 317 Second Ave. N.W. in Osseo. Performance times will be July 25, 26 and 27, at 7:30 p.m. and July 28, at 2 p.m.
