Medina Police Report


On Thursday, June 27, at 7:51 p.m. at Hickory Dr. and Hamel Rd., officers arrested a 30-year old male from Medina for Possession of Methamphetamine. The case was turned over to the West Metro Drug Task Force.


On Monday, June 24, at 11:01 on the 1900 block of Willow Dr., there was a report of a snapping turtle in the middle of the roadway. Prior to officer arrival, the reporting party called back and advised that the turtle was no longer in the road.

On Thursday, June 27, at 8:04 a.m. on the 20 0blocki of Meadow Dr., Loretto, there was a report of a suspicious truck parked in the neighborhood. The reporting party said he had approached the vehicle and the male driver told her he wanted a quiet place to have a cup of coffee. Officer located the truck in a vacant lot on Medina St. The driver stated that he and daughter were out for a drive to talk about things.

On Thursday, June 27, at 11:38 a.m. on the 3100 block of Wild Flower Trail, there was a report of a hit gas line during construction. The Hamel Fire Department monitored the lead until CenterPoint Energy arrived.

On Saturday, June 29, at 5:35 p.m. on the 1700 block of Morgan Rd. there was a report of shots heard.

On Saturday, June 29, at 6:03 p.m. on the 1500 block of Medina Rd., there was a report of a white van driving up and down resident’s driveways. Officer spoke with a passerby and it believed the van’s driver was delivering DEX phone books.

On Saturday, June 29, at 8:35 p.m. on the 1400 block of Baker Park Rd., it was reported that a white Buick had been driving around the area of the “Park and Ride” lot and appeared to be lost or confused. An 81-year old male driver was located and appeared to be fine.

On Sunday, June 30, at 12:36 a.m. on the 800 block of Highway 55, a party reported closing up a store and noticing that a silver vehicle had been in the lot for almost an hour. The vehicle was gone when the officer arrived.

On Sunday, June 30, at 11:16 a.m. on the 100 block of Highway 55, officers were requested to check the welfare of a dog in a vehicle. Upon arrival, officer observed a lab in the backseat with the window down about three inches and a breeze blowing. The temperature was 71 and the dog did not appear to be in distress.
