Marilyn Arnlund, Deputy Fire Marshal with Maple Grove Fire Department, arrived with Tower 41 to give Tigue a ride in the ladder truck and to wish him well in his retirement.

Tigue worked closely with Maple Grove Fire-Rescue when Maple Grove Junior High was constructed and opened as a new school. Tigue was very knowable about the schools safety systems and cared a lot about the safety of the students and staff.

When Maple Grove Senior High was built Tigue transferred to that building. Again he worked closely with fire department staff and was an important liaison to the fire department.

Arnlund, the fire departments fire marshal said that Tigue could always be counted to make sure the building was safe for students and staff. “Tim really cares about people and was very knowable about the schools mechanical systems as well as the fire protection systems. He always made safety a priority,” she said.

The Maple Grove Fire Department commends Tigue on his service to the community and School District 279 and wishes him a long and happy retirement.
