Maple Grove Lions award scholarships to area graduates

Again this year, the Maple Grove Lions Club has awarded a number of scholarships to students at Osseo Senior, Maple Grove Senior, Totino-Grace and Providence Academy High Schools. One award winner was home-schooled.

Nineteen scholarships were awarded out of the 71 applications received. The job of choosing the winners was a tough one for the Lions.

The Maple Grove Lions said, “The area should be extremely proud of the accomplishments of these students in and out of school and in their future endeavors.”

The 2013 recipients at Maple Grove Senior High School are: Mackenzie Catton, Harshil Chahal, Rebecca Cohn, Katrina Diaz, Emily Hughes, Emily Jaeger, Mac Lorence, Samantha Rud, Emily Schwen, Nicole Schwieters, Miranda Stratton, Andrea Studer, Tess Wilner, Alicia Wilson and Brian Yasosky.

The recipient from Osseo Senior High School is Victoria Johnson.

The Totino-Grace recipient is Megan Lutz.

Recipient from Providence Academy is Ashlen Hagelberg.

The home-school recipient is Mitchell Pagel.
