DWIs

Corcoran Police reported a DWI arrest Monday, June 17 at 10:27 p.m. at Bechtold Rd. and Strehler Rd. Arrested was Colin Skelly Kurtzwell, 24, of Maple Grove for 3rd Degree Gross Misd DWI with a .20 BAC.

Arrests

Corcoran Police reported a DAS arrest Friday, June 21 at 12:22 a.m. at County Rd. 101 and Stieg Rd. Arrested was Oscar Antonio Bonilla, 37, of Osseo for driving after suspension of his driver’s license.

Corcoran Police reported a DAR arrest Friday, June 21 at 1:07 a.m. at County Rd. 101 and County Rd. 10. Arrested was Nathan Tawattxay phrachomphonh, 24, of Corcoran for driving after revocation of his driver’s license.

Property damage

The department reported a property damage accident Thursday, June 20 at 1:08 p.m. in the area of 107XX County Rd. 116. The reporting party stated they believe another pick-up truck backed into their pick-up truck on May 24, 2013. The reporting party did not notice the damage to the vehicle until now. The reporting party has contacted their insurance company.

Theft

Theft of identity was reported Monday, June 17 at 3:34 p.m. in the 237XX block of Pioneer Tr. The reporting party stated that an unknown person(s) had attempted to set up an online account with social security. The reporting party advised they do not have a computer and did not request this online account. The reporting party has been in contact with Social Security to have their account flagged so no changes could be made without their consent. No loss at this time.

Theft of funds was reported Friday, June 21 at 12:25 p.m. in the 212XX block of County Rd. 50. The reporting party stated an unknown suspect(s) had attempted to use their Visa card for an internet purchase of computer equipment on June 19 and June 20. The reporting party’s bank blocked the $2,300.00 purchase from a Virginia-based company.

Medicals

The department responded to a medical emergency Monday, June 17 at 4:47 p.m. in the 76XX block of County Rd. 116. A 22 year old male was unconscious. Officers arrived on scene to find the unconscious male sitting in a chair. The Officer attempted to wake the male and ended up performing a sternum rub, which awoke the male. The male refused medical treatment.

The department responded to a medical emergency Tuesday, June 18 at 9:25 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. A 69 year old female was semi-conscious and has low blood sugar. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

The department responded to a medical emergency Tuesday, June 18 at 11:28 a.m. in the 206XX block of County Rd. 30. A 42 year old female was choking. The reporting party stated the victim had eaten a piece of pork chop and it was lodged in their esophagus. The patient was breathing. The patient declined medical transport at that time.

The department responded to a medical emergency Tuesday, June 18 at 1:37 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. A 46 year old female was having back pain. The patient was transported to Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

The department responded to a medical emergency Tuesday, June 18 at 5:46 p.m. in the 96XX block of Ridge Dr. A 58 year old male was in pain. The patient was transported to Mercy Hospital by North Ambulance.

The department responded to a medical emergency Friday, June 21 at 9:47 p.m. in the 82XX block of County Rd. 116. A 42 year old female was having difficulty breathing. The Officer administered oxygen and the patient was transported to Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

Miscellaneous

The department responded to a report of a parking complaint on Monday, June 17 at 8:08 a.m. The reporting party stated there was a semi-truck parked in the parking lot, running. The Officer made contact and found that the driver had been given permission to be there the day before. The truck driver advised they would be on their way.

The department responded to a report of a welfare check on Monday, June 17 at 5:47 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated they were told by a young girl that she was home alone with her younger brother and baby sister. Upon arrival, the Officer found the young girl, approximately age 6, and a younger male, unknown age, were walking towards the residence. The girl advised that their older sister went to a friend’s house for a bit. As the Officer was talking with the kids, their uncle arrived home and stated he would watch the kids until their mother returned home.

The department responded to a report of a welfare check on Tuesday, June 18 at 12:45 in the 202XX block of Hackamore Rd. The reporting party stated they missed a doctor’s appointment and needed medication. The 38 year old male had called a cab to take them to their appointment; however the cab did not show up. The cab company sent out another cab and the male was going to wait for it to arrive outside.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious act on Tuesday, June 18 at 2:28 p.m. in the 232XX block of County Rd. 10. The reporting party stated there was a white vehicle that pulled into their driveway. They talked to the driver and found they were from Sprint and they were doing speed tests for their towers. The vehicle then left eastbound on County Rd. 10. Officers attempted to make contact with the driver, but the vehicle was gone on their arrival.

The department responded to a report of an OFP violation on Wednesday, June 19 at 12:46 a.m. in the 65XX block of County Rd. 101. The reporting party stated they were going through their phone bill and found that their ex had been making contact with their child while the child was in their custody, which is a violation of the harassment order. The report will be forwarded to the city attorney for review of possible charges.

The department responded to a report of a gas leak on Wednesday, June 19 at 9:42 a.m. in the 236XX block of Pioneer Tr. The company working on the driveway at the residence struck a gas line accidently. CenterPoint Energy arrived on site and made repairs.

The department responded to a report of customer trouble on Thursday, June 20 at 12:11 p.m. in the 199XX block of 75th Ave. The reporting party stated there was a customer that was upset over a set of tires that were purchased over five years ago. The customer stated they purchased tires from the business over five years ago and only 500 miles were driven on the tires. The Officer advised the customer that the warranty from both the tire company and the business cannot be expected to be guaranteed five years later. The Officer advised that business may have done something to assist the customer if the customer had not threatened to sue the business. The customer advised they would take their business elsewhere.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious act on Friday, June 21 at 3:06 p.m. in the 99XX block of Garden La. The reporting party stated they observed a vehicle stopping at all the mailboxes on the street. It appears it was a new paper delivery person. Officer was unable to make contact with the person, but the Officer observed newspapers in all of the paper boxes.

The department responded to a report of a civil matter on Friday, June 21 at 5:05 p.m. in the 236XX block of Strehler Rd. The reporting party called to report that their ex-husband was removing property from their residence without their approval or court papers. The Officer arrived on scene and spoke with the ex-husband about removing items without court approval. The ex-husband left the residence.

The department responded to a report of a wire down on Friday, June 21 at 7:50 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 50. A report of a large tree that fell on wires was received. Xcel Energy responded to the area to remove the large tree and downed wires.

The department responded to a report of a house fire on Friday, June 21 at 8:20 p.m. in the 66XX block of Willow Dr. The reporting party stated that trees fell into a power line and hit the southwest corner of the house. A fire then started behind the stove in the kitchen. Loretto Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire.

The department responded to a report of a fight on Saturday, June 22 at 1:52 a.m. in the 97XX block of County Rd. 101. The reporting party stated there were five or six people fighting. Officers arrived on scene and found the group were arguing over a seat at the business and were pushing each other around a bit. Nothing more physical had occurred. Officers spoke with the parties involved and released them to go home.

The department responded to a report of a civil issue on Saturday, June 22 at 6:24 p.m. in the 236XX block of Strehler Rd. The reporting party stated their ex-husband removed car parts from a shed at the residence without their approval. A report was taken.

The department responded to a report of fireworks on Sunday, June 23 at 12:16 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated someone was setting off fireworks at the north end of the park. Officers located the parties and they were advised.

The department responded to a report of a loud party on Sunday, June 23 at 11:21 p.m. in the 90XX block of Foxline Dr. The reporting party stated there was a loud party going on and this is an ongoing issue. The Officers advised the homeowner to keep the party noise down.
