Hamel Lions Flea Market
SUNDAYS THROUGH OCT. 27 — The Hamel Lions Flea Market will be open on Sundays through Oct. 27 in the parking lot of the Medina Entertainment Center, 500 Hwy. 55, Medina. Bargain hunters can visit the market from 6 a.m. to noon. The Flea Market will be closed on May 12 and 19 and Aug. 11. Delano Farmers Market
WEDNESDAYS THROUGH OCT. — The Delano Farmers Market is open Wednesdays through October from 2 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of Flippin’ Bills’, located on the corner of Highway 12 and County Line Road in Delano. Shoppers will find freshly baked bread, local honey, maple syrup, pickles, farm fresh eggs, seasonal fruits and more when in season. A non-profit booth is available. SATURDAYS THROUGH SEPT. 21 — The Delano Community Market is open 9 a.m. to noon, every Saturday through Sept. 21 along River Street in downtown Delano. Visitors will find local food, artists, crafts, children’s activities, music and more. Whimsical Fairy Gardens
JUNE 13 — Children ages seven to nine are invited to create Whimsical Fairy Gardens at the Delano Public Library, 160 Railroad Ave. E., on Thursday, June 13 from 2 to 3 p.m. Join a Wright County Master Gardener to create magic and whimsy with fairies in this small-container garden class. Children will plant miniature landscapes and add tiny treasures. They are asked to bring two small items for the fairy garden, such as shells, marbles or doll accessories. JUNE 18 — The Breast Cancer Support Group will meet Tuesday, June 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Conference Rooms A&B at Ridgeview Medical Center. During each support group session, an educational topic, such as music therapy, plastic surgery or breast cancer statistics will be discussed. Magician to perform at Delano Library
JUNE 18 — Magician Jared Sherlock will perform at the Delano Public Library, 160 Railroad Ave. E. from 1 to 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, June 18. His presentation is for children ages three to 12 and their families. Sherlock blends magic, juggling and audience participation for a high-energy, interactive, comedic event. JUNE 20 — Cuddle up and read with Annie, the golden retriever, between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Delano Public Library, 160 Railroad Ave. E. Annie is a certified Reading Education Assistance Dog. Sign ups are on the same day for 15 minutes of one on one reading time. The library will provide books of all reading levels. 28th Annual Ridgeview Golf & Taste Celebration
JUNE 24 — Proceeds from this year’s event will again be used to support the Innovation for Generations campaign, with funds raised to further enhance the care and comfort of patients. Each year, Ridgeview’s Annual Golf & Taste Celebration entails much more than golf, including bridge and Bunco tournaments, the Taste of the Ridgeview Region featuring delicious specialties and beverages from some of the area’s finest restaurants, a buffet dinner; silent and live auctions and an abundance of raffle prizes.
