Recently, local branches of the U.S. Post Office teamed up to donate food to CROSS Food Shelf. Among the branches involved were Champlin, Maple Grove and Osseo. Between the three of them, over 20,000 pounds of food were obtained to support CROSS in its efforts to combat hunger.
For many patrons of CROSS Food Shelf, donations like this are a blessing. CROSS Food Shelf provides food, clothing, seasonal children’s programs, limited financial assistance and Meals on Wheels to families living in the communities of Maple Grove, Osseo, west Champlin, Rogers, Dayton and Corcoran. CROSS appreciates all of the families in the community that contributed to the post office fundraiser in order to make this possible.
CROSS, now located in Rogers, has been in existence for more than 30 years. CROSS is now servicing approximately 600 families monthly. Primarily a volunteer organization, CROSS is supported by community donations from businesses, churches, schools and organizations in the area.
