Archaeological adventure

JUNE 13 — The St. Michael Public Library invites children ages 3 to 12 and their families to join Professor Marvel’s Amazing Archaeological Adventure Thursday, June 13, 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. This program will feature non-stop action with interactive storytelling, comedy and magic designed to illustrate the wonders found in books. No registration required. It is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. For additional information, contact the St. Michael library at 763-497-1998.

JUNE 15 — The St. Michael Public Library invites people of all ages to attend a fun summer movie at the library on Saturday, June 15, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This animated favorite set in the world of bugs is fun for the entire family. For additional information, contact the St. Michael library at 763-497-1998.

Artsoup 2013

JUNE 15 — Sponsored by the Arts Alliance this free, fun, family-friendly festival is being hosted Saturday, June 15, in downtown Elk River. See artists displaying and selling their work and performing during the day. There will be Art Tents offering children’s art activities and showcasing Community Arts groups, a Juried Art Show and tours of the new Arts Alliance Art Center. Performances by Paul Imholte, Jared Schreifels, 340 Magnums, North Ballet, Strings for Youth and much more. Local restaurants will be offering outdoor dining and festival foods. Storytellers 

JUNE 19 — The WonderWeavers storytellers will present “Digging Our Way To China” at the St. Michael Public Library Wednesday, June 19, 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. The interactive program will appeal to children of all ages, and includes stories of a giant who likes to garden, friends who never leave each other behind, and talking mud puddles. The attendance limit is 50 and preregistration is required. This program is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Day Craft

JUNE 20 — Children of all ages are invited to visit the St. Michael Public Library to do a Thursday Fun Day make and take craft during open hours 1 to 8 p.m. June 20. The craft is making a unique underground critter with a clothespin, glue and poms. For additional information, contact the St. Michael library at 763-497-1998.
