Jumpers shine in state for Maple Grove

The Crimson 4×400 relay team of freshman Lauren Scheidler, sophomore Zenitra Lee, senior Marissa Lister and junior Sara Halfrich competed at the state meet.

Maple Grove seniors Katharine Roeterin and Madison Ordner picked up two medals in jump competition at last Saturday’s state track and field meet at Hamline University.

Roeterin  placed seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 35-06.75 in the finals. Ordner took seventh in the high jump by clearing 5-4.

Roeterin also competed in the long jump where she finished 11th with a jump of 16-01.25 in the final.

The girls’ 4×400 relay team took eighth in its heat and did not qualify for the finals. Team members are  freshman Lauren Scheidler, sophomore Zenitra Lee, senior Marissa Lister and junior Sara Halfrich.

Maple Grove boys had two entries in the meet. Senior Jake Wieneke ran a 22.28 in the 200 but did not make the final.

The 4×800 relay team juniors Sean Heaton, Charles Raasch, sophomore Mitchell Dickerson and senior Ryan Graham placed 11th in a time of 8:06.84.
