CROSS receives community support through fund-raising campaign

Minnesota FoodShare, the largest food drive in the state, runs an annual campaign in which all money and food donated during the month of March is eligible for a proportionate match from Minnesota FoodShare and the Feinstein $1 Million Dollar Challenge to Fight Hunger. During this year’s campaign, over 57,000 pounds of food and $90,000 in donations were received. CROSS Food Shelf appreciates the community, Minnesota FoodShare, and the Feinstein Foundation for their generosity.

Minnesota FoodShare organizes a statewide media campaign to promote food shelf donations. It produces and distributes free promotional and educational resources for food drive organizers.

Founded in 1991 by Alan Shawn Feinstein, the Feinstein Foundation is dedicated to the alleviation of hunger, the importance of community service in education and the values of caring, compassion and brotherhood.

CROSS provides food, clothing, seasonal children’s programs, limited financial assistance and Meals on Wheels to families living in the communities of Maple Grove, Osseo, west Champlin, Rogers, Dayton and Corcoran.

CROSS, now located in Rogers, has been in existence for more than thirty years.  It is the only food shelf that services Osseo, Maple Grove, West Champlin, Rogers, Dayton, and Corcoran. CROSS is now servicing approximately 600 families monthly. Primarily a volunteer organization, CROSS is supported by community donations from businesses, churches, schools and organizations in the area.
