NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON ASSESSMENT OF WILLOW DRIVE
OVERLAY PROJECT
Notice is hereby given that the Medina city council will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Medina city hall, 2052 Co. Rd. 24, to conduct a public hearing on special assessments against properties benefited by the Willow Drive overlay project. Assessments in the amount of $37,115.10 (out of an estimate total project cost of $168,705) will be levied against all properties in the Willowbrook area benefited by the improvements. Assessments will be levied over a term of 7 years at an annual interest rate of 3.50 percent. The proposed assessment roll is on file and available for inspection at Medina city hall. Written or oral objections to the proposed assessments will be heard by the city council at the hearing. No appeal of an assessment may be taken unless a written objection signed by the property owner is filed with the city clerk prior to the hearing or presented to the presiding officer at the hearing. An owner may appeal the assessment in district court by serving a notice of the appeal on the city clerk or mayor within 30 days after adoption of the assessment and filing such notice with the district court within ten days after service on the clerk or mayor. Persons wishing to express an opinion regarding the special assessment of the project are invited to attend and testify at the hearing or to submit written comments prior to or at the hearing.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota will hold a public hearing on July 2, 2013, at 7:00 PM in the council chambers at city hall, 2052 County Road 24, Medina, MN 55340. The purpose of the public hearing is to consider the vacation of certain drainage and utility easements on Lot 2, Block 2, Tuckborough Farms Fourth Addition and Lot 2, Block 1, Green Pastures Farm. Vacation of the easements is proposed to be contingent upon the city obtaining replacement easements as a result of the rearrangement of the properties.
All persons interested may appear and be heard at the time and place set forth above.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers at 1920 County Road 90 on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. to review the following requests:

Public Notice
The city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 552. The ordinance amends setback requirements related to driveways, establishes minimum standards for lot frontage and flag lots, and amends minimum street grade requirements to be consistent with City Engineering standards. The ordinance also establishes regulations for alterations and construction within pubic rights-of-way and easements.
The full text of Ordinance No. 552 is available from the city administrator-clerk at Medina city hall during regular business hours.

The vehicle described below has been towed to our impound lot after being involved in an accident. The accident occurred at the intersection of County Road 6 and County Road 83.
If you have not notified your insurance company, please do so. If you have collision insurance, the towing and storage will probably be paid for you. If you did not have collision insurance you will have to pay for the towing and storage. Minnesota is a “No Fault” state. The other party is not going to pay for your car or the towing and storage fees regardless of who was at fault.
Failure to reclaim the vehicle will result in waiver of ownership of the vehicle and it’s contents, together with consent to transfer title and sell the vehicle. Failure to reclaim the vehicle will also result in this account being turned over to a collection agency. Your rights are further explained in Minnesota Statute 168B.07, sub3.
