The following incidents were reported by West Hennepin Public Safety between May 19 and May 26.
On May 22, at 7:37 p.m. a license plate found lying on road on the 300 block of County Road 110. Registered owner was contacted to pick up his plate.
On May 23, at 8:13 p.m. a bicycle was chained to a tree, the tree had been cut down and the bike was missing at County Road 110/Moline Road. The bike was a Teal color 12 speed Mongoose Mountain Bike with a water bottle attached. Case under investigation.
On May 24, at 12:48 p.m. there was a report of a suspicious male and vehicle parked at a neighbor’s home at 1000 Polo Club Road. Vehicle and driver located. Driver was there to take photographs for the realty company as the home was for sale.
On May 25, at 7:15 a.m. there was a report of two horses and a goat were found on Nelson Road on the 2100 block. A resident corralled the two horses and the goat was content to stay with them.
On May 25, at 1:48 p.m. a dog owner reported a runner /jogger on 6400 block of Fogelman Rodd had aggressively been throwing rocks at his dogs, while the dogs were on his property. The dog owner stated the dogs have electric fencing and do not leave the yard, and they were not out of their yard at the time of the incident. A 53-year-old male from Geggen-Tina Road was found and stated when he goes on a run; he likes the peace of the country, and does not appreciate dogs barking at him as he runs by. It was clarified that the dogs did not run after him, leave their yard or attack him, and he admitted they were in their own yard, just barking at him which he was advised that is what dogs do. Charges pending.
On May 25, at 8:55 p.m. the City of Independence community center was rented and the fire alarm was pulled. Maple Plain Fire responded to reset the alarm. The deposit of $350 for false alarm was not refunded to the renters.
On May 20, at 6:45 p.m. there was a report that someone keyed a truck on the 1400 block of Meadow Lane
On May 21, at 6:01 p.m. a homeowner reported on May 21 that her house was broken into on the 13th of May. Unknown if there is missing property on the 1400 block of Rainbow Avenue. Case under investigation.
On May 24, at 4:21 a.m. an officer on routine foot patrol on the 5000 block of Highway 12, found an open door on the north side of the building. An interior building search found all was secure.
