Track: Rogers scores in 10 events at section; no state qualifiers

The Rogers track teams did not have any state qualifiers in Section 5AA but scored in 10 events on Wednesday and Friday at Hamline.

“Unbelievably tough competition in this section,” noted Matt Webb, Royal boys coach. “Very fun meet to watch!”

The girls 4×100 team of Erika Folk, Heather Kilber, Kirsten Heikkinen and Jenna Braseman took third place. The 4×200 team of Folk, Breanna Stang, Breseman, and Heikkinen took fifth. Kilber was seventh in the 100 hurdles and eighth in the 300 hurdles. Jackie Lindfors was eighth in both the 1600 and 3200. Folk was ninth in the 200 dash.

Zach Dohmen took fourth in the boys 300 intermediate hurdles and ninth in the 110 highs. Reed Parent was sixth in the 3200 and ninth in the 1600. Kent Hoover took eighth in the 400. Mitchell Brackett was ninth in high jump. Mike Biah didn’t place in long jump but raised his school record to 19-7 3/4.
