Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office

The following public safety summary information from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit is provided to residents as a public service. These highlights from May 28 through June 2, 2013, do not reflect all incidents handled or investigated by the HCSO during this time period.

In addition to the law enforcement services it provides throughout the county, the HCSO provides primary patrol services for the communities of Hassan Township, Greenfield, Medicine Lake and Fort Snelling, as well as the Hennepin County portions of Hanover and Rockford.

Rockford 

On May 31, deputies responded to the area of County Road 55 and Commerce Drive for property damage hit and run report. A 21-year-old male driver reported a SUV was driving behind him when the suspect drove onto the concrete median hitting his vehicle, tearing his rear view mirror off. A witness followed the suspect vehicle but lost sight of it. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is investigating this incident.

On June 1, deputies responded to a business on the 7600 block of County Road 50 for a reported fire. Rockford Fire was on scene upon deputy’s arrival. After the fire was put out, deputies and the fire department discovered damage to the parking lot. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is investigation this incident.

Corcoran 

On June 1, deputies responded to an address on the 7800 block of Maple Hill Road to assist Corcoran Police with a weapons complaint call. A 53-year-old male reported a neighbor pulled a gun on him. After talking to both parties involved, it was determined there were no guns involved but a knife was found. No threats were made. No other action was taken.

Greenfield 

On May 28, deputies responded to an address on the 8000 block of Hwy. 55 for a welfare check. A 53-year-old female was in fear of another individual who was coming over for a visit. Deputies advised the reporting party to call again if she had any problems during the visit. No other action was needed.

On May 28, deputies responded to an address on the 8000 block of Hwy. 55 for a theft report. An 18-year-old female reported her laptop had been stolen. The reporting party reported two possible suspects. A deputy attempted to make contact with the suspects but was unable to. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is investigating this incident.

On June 1, deputies responded to an address on the 8600 block of Pioneer Trail for an intoxicated party. Deputies arrived and spoke to a 54-year-old male who reports getting into a verbal argument with his spouse because she was intoxicated. After talking to both parties, the deputy transported the female party to detox. No other action was needed.

Other

During the week of May 28 to June 2, 2013, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies also issued or provided: two citations and one property damage accident.
