Hamel Lions Flea Market
SUNDAYS THROUGH OCT. 27 — The Hamel Lions Flea Market will be open on Sundays through Oct. 27 in the parking lot of the Medina Entertainment Center, 500 Hwy. 55, Medina. Bargain hunters can visit the market from 6 a.m. to noon. The Flea Market will be closed on May 12 and 19 and Aug. 11. Delano Farmers Market
WEDNESDAYS THROUGH OCT. — The Delano Farmers Market is open Wednesdays through October from 2 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of Flippin’ Bills’, located on the corner of Highway 12 and County Line Road in Delano. Shoppers will find freshly baked bread, local honey, maple syrup, pickles, farm fresh eggs, seasonal fruits and more when in season. A non-profit booth is available. SATURDAYS THROUGH SEPT. 21 — The Delano Community Market is open 9 a.m. to noon, every Saturday through Sept. 21 along River Street in downtown Delano. Visitors will find local food, artists, crafts, children’s activities, music and more. Special event for May 25 is a plant swap. Pot up and label any perennials that you need to divide, bring them to the flag pole and swap them for something that you don’t have in your garden. ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’
MAY 30, 31 & JUNE 1 — The Homeschool Story Stagers will present “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” based on the book by Roald Dahl, the weekend of May 30 at Sts. Peter and Paul Gymnasium, 145 Railway Street E. in Loretto. Performances of this children’s play by Richard R. George will take place at Thursday and Friday, May 30 and 31 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 1, at 7 p.m. A 2 p.m. matinee performance will be offered on Friday. Cost of admission will be a free will donation. The play immerses the audience in a tour of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory and a chocolate fantasy in which Charlie and friends redeem their Golden Tickets and discover the true meaning of teamwork.
River Street Jam
MAY 31 — The annual River Street Jam will take place Friday evening, May 31, on River Street near Dave’s Town Club in Delano. This outdoor street dance will feature live bands. Proceeds will benefit St. Peter’s Catholic School in Delano.
Lions tractor pull
JUNE 1 — The annual Corcoran Lions Tractor Pull is Saturday, June 1, at 7 p.m. at the Corcoran Lions Park. Free parking, more than $3,200 paid out in prizes. JUNE 4 — Wright County Public Health will offer a 60 Plus and Healthy Clinic from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Rockford Walnut Place Apartments, 8830 Walnut Place in Rockford. Public Health staff will trim toenails for seniors who have a health condition such as diabetes or are unable to trim toenails themselves. Staff will check blood pressures if needed and as time allows. Cost for foot care services is $15. Those who are unable to pay will not be turned away from the clinic. Annie is a certified Reading Education Assistance Dog. Sign ups are on the same day for 15 minutes of one on one reading time. The library will provide books of all reading levels.
