The Scott Kuchera/Peter Phenow Scholarship Foundation, Inc. has announced the recipients of its 2013 scholarships.
This year’s awards were presented to Laura Siepmann and Kevin Curwick.
Siepmann plans on attending the University of Minnesota or Bethel University. Her intended major is nursing. During her high school years her athletic activities included fast pitch softball, hockey and tennis. She also took part in many community involvement programs including being a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Rotary ethics leadership team and a volunteer CPR instructor for eighth grade classes in School District 279.
Curwick will be attending the University of Minnesota or St. John’s University with an emphasis on pre-medical studies. His athletic activities were centered on varsity football and nordic skiing. He was also involved in many community activities, some of which were Osseo coordinator for Feed My Starving Children, Rotary ethics committee and a eucharistic minister at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
The scholarship committee congratulates both students and commends them for their athletic achievements and community service activities.
