Rogers High School was very successful at this year’s Mississippi 8 Conference Art Competition. Brittany Wickoren won first place in painting/watercolor for “Man with Umbrella.”

Rogers High School was very successful at this year’s Mississippi 8 Conference Art Competition.

This year the art competition was at Big Lake High School. Four schools participated; St. Michael/Albertville, Big Lake, Monticello and Rogers, with a total of more than 100 works of art. This year Rogers brought 29 pieces and received 25 awards. All of the Rogers artwork will be on display at the high school Monday, May 20, at Rogers High School Arts Night.

Printmaking — first place: Nicole Magnuson “Just Roosting”; second place, Grace Cullen “Aquene”
