The department reported a property damage auto crash Monday, April 29 at 7:47 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 30 and County Rd. 101. Vehicle #1 was stopped in traffic facing east near County Rd. 101 when Vehicle #2 struck the rear of vehicle #1. The driver of vehicle #2 stated their foot slipped off the brake. No injuries were reported.
The department reported a property damage incident Monday, April 29 at 6:14 p.m. in the area of 217XX County Rd. 10. The Officer was on routine patrol when he noticed damage to an underground telephone/cable box on the side of the road. It appears the box was possibly damaged by farm equipment.
The department reported a property damage auto crash Friday, May 3 at 5:00 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 116 and County Rd. 10. Vehicle #1 was in a parking lot on County Rd. 116, waiting for the northbound traffic to clear to make a left turn onto County Rd. 116. A driver stopped in the backed up traffic flagged vehicle #1 to go in front of them; however, vehicle #2 was traveling northbound on County Rd. 116 and was passing the stopped vehicles to get into the left turn lane when vehicle #1 struck the left side of vehicle #2. No injuries were reported.
Theft of vehicle was reported Monday, April 29 at 7:15 a.m. in the 210XX block of Larkin Rd. The reporting party stated their 1999 Black Ford F-150 was stolen from behind a building on their property sometime overnight. The reporting party stated the vehicle was unlocked and the keys were under the floor board. The vehicle has been entered as stolen.
The department responded to a medical emergency Wednesday, May 1 at 7:43 p.m. in the 73XX block of Rolling Hills Rd. A 31 year old female was light-headed and had low blood pressure. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.
The department responded to a report of a suspicious act on Thursday, May 2 at 5:54 p.m. in the 202XX block of Abilene La. The reporting party stated there was a solicitor going around the neighborhood. The reporting party was uncomfortable with this and called the police. The Officer was able to make contact with the unwanted party. There are no ordinances against solicitors in the City of Corcoran at this time.
The department responded to a report of a juvenile problem on Thursday, May 2 at 9:22 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated a 14-year old female was refusing to get in the car to return to her foster home. The Officers assisted in getting the juvenile into the vehicle to return to the foster home.
The department responded to a report of a welfare check on Friday, May 3 at 2:15 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The Brooklyn Park Police Department requested the Corcoran Police to check the welfare of two young boys at the residence; the boys were crying and their father had left the scene. The Officer went to the residence and was unable to make contact with anyone at that time. At 7:57 p.m. the Officer went back to the residence and located the father of the children. The Officer asked to speak with the kids and the father allowed the Officer to talk with the kids. The Officer was able to determine that the younger boy had fallen and hurt himself earlier in the day. The Officer advised the children appeared to be fine.
The department responded to a report of shots heard on Sunday, May 5 at 1:01 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 30. The reporting party stated they heard multiple shots, but could not see anyone. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anyone shooting in the area.
The department responded to a report of a missing person on Sunday, May 5 at 6:23 p.m. in the 93XX block of Cherry La. The reporting party stated they have been unable to locate their mother since Friday, May 3. The mother was located at a Motel in Little Falls, MN on Monday, May 6.
