Schulte’s Greenhouse & Nursery of St. Michael recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Schulte’s is a family owned business started in 1963 by Larry and Roseanna Schulte. In two small greenhouses, in the backyard of their home, Larry and Roseanna grew vegetable and flowering plants for the customers in the local area. They did that for many years, with all their children helping them along the way. Now two sons, Dave and Dan, have ownership in the thriving business. In the spring and summer most of the other family members work there, as do some of the grandchildren.

Schulte’s moved to its present location in 1978 and have expanded the business to include a full line of trees, shrubs, evergreens and perennials.
