The following contains a sample of calls reported to Rogers Police from Monday, April 22 through Monday, April 29.
Monday, April 2
Caller, employee of the business at 20600 South Diamond Lake Rd., reported his unlocked vehicle was entered while it was parked in the lot. Taken was a black backpack containing a tablet computer. The victim is obtaining further information on the contents to provide to the investigating Officer.
Tuesday, April 23
Officer dispatched to fuel theft that had just occurred at 21550 South Diamond Lake Rd. Officer attempted to locate the suspect vehicle which registered out of Fridley. No contact, the incident is under investigation.
James Stanton Trebesch, 29, was cited for no proof of insurance at South Diamond Lake Road and Main Street.
Anthony James Bolduc, 48, was arrested for a warrant and taken to jail.
Wednesday, April 24
Police responded to a suspicious incident at Interstate 94 and Main Street where a female was transported to detox and a male was transported to jail. Cited were Julie Ann Stevens, 34, and Travis Donnell Ashley, 32.
Barbara Ann Steufer, 76, was arrested for fourth-degree DWI at 21455 John Milless Dr., after officers received a complaint about an intoxicated woman inside a business.
Friday, April 26
After noticing a brief power surge at the police department, officers were dispatched to utility pole arcing at Sylvan Lake Road and Territorial Road. The nearby grass began to smoke then the reporting party reported seeing flames. Fire department responded and extinguished a small 500 square foot grass fire at the base of the pole. Xcel energy was notified, it appeared a porcelain insulator was charred atop the pole.
Officer responded to Archway marketing for a report of an employee theft. The Officer met with the operations manager and learned that an employee was terminated earlier today for theft of toner cartridges and he wanted to know what they could do regarding criminal charges. The suspect was no longer on scene. The Officer investigated and will complete an initial report.
Christian Charles Dedrick, 41, was cited for expired license at Main Street and South Diamond Lake Road.
Saturday, April 27
Officer responded to Hot Dogs Groomery on a report of a woman who had fallen outside of the business. Officer observed a woman on the sidewalk at the bottom of the steps from Hot Dogs Groomery and she said that her leg and ankle hurt. It appeared that a bone in the lower leg or ankle had broken. The woman was transported by ambulance to North Memorial Hospital in Maple Grove.
Rogers Officer responded to assist Dayton Police on a call involving an unattended horse that was found in the area of near Overview Park at Dayton River Road. While attempting to locate the missing rider, Officers discovered that two female subjects were stranded on an island on the river after one of the horses spooked and ran off. Hennepin County Water Patrol was called out to assist with getting the two female subjects and one horse back to the shore.
Jason Allen Altrichter, 38, was cited for illegal u-turn and no insurance, at 141st Avenue and Main Street.
Sunday, April 28
Dispatch advised of an intoxicated person at the Holiday Gas Station on Diamond Lake Road. Officers arrived and located an extremely intoxicated person in a taxi. The subject was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center Special Care unit.
Officer took a call at Cabela’s from an employee who reported that his truck was broken into and someone stole some of his property from inside. The vehicle had a smashed out window and the truck bed cover was cut open. The owner reported a loss of approximately $500 plus damage to his truck.
