Once again Moms Club of Maple Grove and Page for the Cure, the fundraiser for the Minnesota affiliate of Komen for the Cure was a success. The group was able to raise over $6,000 to help with research, support and the many needs of the Minnesota cancer community. This was the event’s 12th year and to date has raised over $153,000. Eighty-five women scrapbooked while enjoying all three meals for the day along with conversations. There were vendors available to sell scrapbook related items and over 60 silent auction items to bid on. Two massage therapists were on hand offering seated chair massages when a needed break was necessary. The speaker this year was Joyce Sobatta with Lady Lymph and Healthy Girls Breast Oils. She spoke about Natural Breast Health and gave the group ideas on staying healthy as women. Ninety percent of the women who attended this year have attended in previous years. Each year the club makes strides in Breast Cancer research and will continue to work hard on raising money until there is a cure.
