Crimson Angie Davison to play in girls’ basketball all-star series

Maple Grove senior Angie Davison will participate in the Minnesota Girls’ Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Series Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27, at the University of St. Thomas.

Davison, who played four years of varsity basketball for the Crimson, earned all-conference honors as a junior and senior and was an all-state honorable mention in her senior season when she averaged 15 points, 4.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game. She holds the Maple Grove record for career assists with 339, ranks third in career steals with 203 and second for season free-throw percentage with 80 percent in 2013. Davison, who is headed to Northern Iowa University on a basketball scholarship, is a candidate for Miss Basketball.

Davison also lettered three years in soccer, made all-conference honorable mention as a sophomore and junior and all-conference and defensive MVP as a senior. She is Maple Grove’s Triple A award winner and Athena award winner for 2013.
