Auditions for CCP summer production take place in April

Cross Community Players will be hosting auditions for its summer production of “The Children of Eden.”

Auditions will be Thursday, April 25, from 4 to 7 p.m.; Friday, April 26, from 6 to 9:30 p.m.; and Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All auditions will take place at Osseo United Methodist Church, 16 Second Ave. S.E. in Osseo.

No experience is necessary. People should come prepared to sing a 1 minute song. Bring sheet music, (no a capella) a photograph and a personal calendar for potential schedule conflicts. Audition order is based on arrival, first come, first serve.

Children ages 7 through adult are welcome to audition. To be cast, children ages 7 through 10 must have a parent in the cast.

“The Children of Eden” is a joyous and uplifting musical about parents, children and faith. This story, created by Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Wicked, Pippin) and John Caird (Candide), covers the first seven chapters of the Book of Genesis from Creation to the Flood. Children of Eden is a joyous and uplifting musical about parents, children and faith centered on familiar characters from the book of Genesis. It tells of the relationship between God and His first Children, their fall, and the promise of reconciliation.

Performances will be July 19, 20, 25 to 27, at 7:30 p.m. as well as July 21 and 28, at 2 p.m. All shows will be Osseo Senior High School, 317 Second Ave. N.W. in Osseo.
