Join the Champlin Environmental Resources Commission (ERC) as they pick up litter as part of Earth Day and the Great Shingle Creek Watershed Clean-up project. The event will kick-off at the Champlin Ice Forum at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 25. Volunteers will be dispersed from there. Areas that are planned for clean-u include Mississippi Point Park, Chandler Park, Doris Kemp Park, Veterans Memorial Park, Galloway Park, the wooded area behind the Legion and the trail/wetland located behind Target and more.
The ERC will provide trash bags and collection tongs. Volunteers should bring their own gloves. It’s advised that volunteers wear long pants and closed toe shoes.
