Maple Grove Police

The following is a synopsis of several incidents that occurred during the week of March 29 through April 4, 2013. Refer to the city website Crime Mapping Section for additional details in regards to the crimes of burglary, robbery, arson, theft and auto theft.

Friday, March 29

11900 block of 73rd Ave. — There was a theft report of a vehicle leaving a gas station without paying for gas.

Lloyd McKinney, 26, of Maple Grove was arrested for domestic assault and criminal damage to property on the 9100 block of Forestview Lane N.

Saturday, March 30

7000 block of Magda Drive — There was a burglary report of property stolen from a storage room.

Erick Hatangimana, 27, of Providence, R.I. was arrested for third degree DWI driving while impaired-criminal penalty, third degree DUI, open bottle and careless driving at I-94 and Maple Grove Parkway.

Sunday, March 31

8300 block of Niagara Lane — There was a theft report of license plates stolen off a vehicle.

9900 block of 106th Place — There was a report of a vehicle’s tire slashed.

13700 block of 84th Place — There was a theft report of a license plate stolen off a vehicle.

7800 block of Main St. — There was a report of an egg thrown at a store employee while outside cleaning a window.

Benjamin Kippley, 25, of Maple Grove was arrested for no insurance, third degree DUI refusal to submit to test, third degree DWI driving while impaired, open bottle and driving after revocation on the 8100 block of Wedgewood Lane N.

Monday, April 1

12100 block of 87th Ave. — There was a report of a vehicle driven into a garage.

9800 block of Fernbrook Lane — There was a theft report of property stolen from a locker room.

8800 block of Dallas Lane — The department responded to a medical call for an unresponsive individual. Officers assisted with CPR until paramedics transported the individual to the hospital.

9900 block of 106th Place — The department responded to a medical call for an individual with trouble breathing. Officers administered oxygen until the individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

12200 block of Elm Creek Blvd. — The department responded to a medical call for an individual with an allergic reaction. Officers administered oxygen until the individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

Tuesday, April 2

9200 block of Peony Lane — There was a theft report of property stolen from a vehicle.

9200 block of Tewsbury Gate — There was a report of damage to a garage door.

Wednesday, April 3

8500 block Yellowstone Lane — There was a burglary report of property stolen from a residence.

9200 block of Revere Lane — There was a theft report of property stolen.

8600 block of Zinnia Way — There was a theft report of license tabs stolen off a vehicle.

18200 block of 87th Ave. — There was a report of a patio door shot with a BB gun.

7800 block of Kingsview Lane — There were two theft reports of property stolen from a vehicle.

Thursday, April 4

9500 Ranchview Lane — The department responded to a medical call for an individual with trouble breathing. Officers administered oxygen until the individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

Other

There were 13 property damage traffic accidents reported during this time period.

Ying Hang, 39, of Milwaukee, Wis. was arrested March 25 for careless driving, third degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08 and third degree DWI driving while impaired-criminal at Elm Creek Blvd. and Grove Drive N.

Valeriy Burlak, 39, of Rogers was arrested March 26 for a third degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08 and a third degree DWI driving while impaired at 93rd Avenue and Zachary Lane N.

Jimmy Myers, 42, of Corcoran was arrested March 27 for careless driving, second degree DUI refusal to submit to test and second degree DWI driving while impaired- criminal penalty at Hemlock Lane and I-694.

Douglas Welter, 47, of Rogers was arrested March 28 for first degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08 and first degree DWI criminal penalty- within 10 years of three or more at County Road 81 and Ranchview Lane N.
