DWIs

Corcoran Police reported a DWI arrest Saturday, April 6 at 2:01 a.m. at County Rd. 101 and Stieg Rd. Arrested was Zachary Gerald Rohloff, 24, of Brooklyn Park for 4th Degree Misd DWI with a .12 BAC.

Corcoran Police reported a DWI arrest Sunday, April 7 at 3:18 a.m. at 78XX Maple Hill Rd. Arrested was Carlos Chavez Holliday, 23, of Minneapolis for DAR and probable cause of 4th Deg. DWI, pending urine test results.

Property damage

The department reported a personal injury accident Wednesday, April 3 at 3:26 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and Hwy. 55. Vehicle #1 was westbound on Highway 55 and vehicle #2 was northbound on County Rd. 19. The driver of vehicle #2 had a green light and was proceeding through the intersection when the driver of vehicle #1 reportedly went through a red light and struck the passenger side of vehicle #2. The driver of vehicle #1 fled the scene of the accident and was issued a citation for driving after suspension, no insurance and failure to obey a traffic control device.

Miscellaneous

The department responded to a report of a civil issue on Tuesday, April 2 at 10:12 a.m. in the 75XX block of County Rd. 116. The reporting party wanted to report a theft. The Officer spoke with the reporting party and determined the issue is a civil one. The reporting party was in a partnership with their sibling and when the business sold their items at auction, the reporting party thought they would get their money back; however the sibling took the money instead. The reporting party also wanted to report that an ex-employee stole items from the business. The reporting party did not see the ex-employee take the items. The Officer advised the reporting party on how to proceed with these civil issues.

The department responded to a report of a drunk problem on Thursday, April 4 at 2:53 a.m. in the 198XX block of Olde Sturbridge Rd. The reporting party stated there was a drunk female passed out in the back of the taxi cab. The female did not have keys to the residence and her cell phone battery was dead. Contact was made with the female’s husband and she was placed in his care.

The department responded to a report of suspicious activity on Thursday, April 4 at 3:52 p.m. in the 77XX block of Corcoran Tr. W. The reporting party stated there was someone in the outbuilding at a vacant house. Officers arrived on scene to find a property management employee securing the foreclosed property.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious act on Thursday, April 4 at 8:57 a.m. in the 78XX block of Corcoran Tr. E. The reporting party stated a loud truck had been driving around the cul-de-sac for an hour prior to their call. The Officer arrived in the area and was unable to locate the vehicle in question.

The department responded to a report of threats on Friday, April 5 at 9:13 a.m. in the 216XX block of Cates Longhorn Rd. The reporting party advised they had received a threatening email from a building contractor. The Officer made contact with the suspect and they advised they would not send any further emails of this nature to the reporting party. The reporting party was advised the Officer made contact with the suspect.

The department responded to a report of shots fired on Friday, April 5 at 5:39 p.m. in the area of 206XX block of County Rd. 50. The reporting party stated there were 5 or 6 shots close together in the area behind their property. The Officer checked the area and was unable to locate anyone shooting at that time.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Saturday, April 6 at 4:25 a.m. in the 200XX block of County Rd. 10. The Officer observed an occupied vehicle sitting in the parking lot. The driver advised they were waiting for a friend to car pool with to Alexandria. No other issues reported.

The department responded to a report of a domestic on Saturday, April 6 at 10:38 a.m. in the 213XX block of Larkin Rd. The reporting party stated their 14 year old son was out of control. The Officer arrived on scene and spoke with the reporting party. The reporting party stated they had pushed their son trying to get him to move along so he could do his work. The son then started pushing the reporting party back and had pulled a knife on them. The reporting party stated the son did not threaten them with the knife. The Officer was able to make contact with the son. The son was rude and used vulgar language towards the Officer. The Officer retrieved the knife and returned it to the reporting party. The reporting party did not want charges filed in this case.

The department responded to a report of loud music on Sunday, April 7 at 2:44 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated they could hear bass music from approximately four residences away. The Officer made contact with the homeowner and they turned the music down.

The department responded to a report of harassment on Sunday, April 7 at 10:45 a.m. in the 92XX block of County Rd. 19. The reporting party advised they had broken up with the suspect and the suspect continues to send harassing text messages. The Officer spoke with the suspect and asked them to stop texting the reporting party. They said they would. They also advised that the reporting party was texting them with harassing texts as well. The Officer then spoke with the reporting party and advised them to stop texting the suspect. Both parties agreed to stop contacting each other.
