HENNEPIN COUNTY
PUBLIC COMMENT SOLICITED and
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Hennepin County Board of Commissioners is soliciting written public comment on the Hennepin County Consortium Draft 2013 Action Plan, which will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in May 2013. The Hennepin County Consortium includes all cities in suburban Hennepin County.
Purpose: The 2013 Action Plan will guide the use of approximately $5.7 million in funding for housing and community development activities in suburban Hennepin County: $3.8 million through the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), $1.7 million through HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and $189,000 through the Emergency Solutions Grant Program (ESG).
Written Comment: Written comments will be accepted for 30 days beginning April 5, 2013, and ending May 6, 2013. Written comments must be submitted by 4:30 p.m., May 6, 2013, and addressed to Kevin Dockry, Manager, Housing Development and Finance, Hennepin County Housing, Community Works and Transit Department, 701 Fourth Avenue South, Suite 400, Minneapolis, MN 55415. Written comments received by May 6 will receive a written response. A copy of the comment letter and the county’s response will be included in the documents submitted to HUD.
The draft 2013 Action Plan will be available April 5, 2013 on the county’s website homepage under “Notices” (www.hennepin.us). Copies of the plans will also be available for review at the suburban Hennepin County Regional Libraries (Brookdale, Ridgedale, and Southdale) until May 6, 2013. If you would like a copy of the draft plan and/or amendment, or you have questions, please contact the Hennepin County Department of Housing, Community Works and Transit at 612-348-9260.
Public Hearing: Additionally, a Public Hearing on the 2013 Action Plan will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Public Works, Energy and Environment Committee meeting of the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners (Hennepin County Government Center, A2400, 300 South Sixth Street, Minneapolis).
If you need help to make it possible for you to come and be active in the public hearing such as sign language interpreter or assisted hearing equipment, this help can be provided if you ask. To ask for help, please call 612-348-9260 at least three days prior to the hearing.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING DAYTON CITY CODE SECTION 201.09 REGARDING SALARY AND EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DAYTON, MINNESOTA DOES ORDAIN:
201.09. SALARY AND EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT FOR MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS.
Subdivision 1. Salary Established. For attendance at regular council meetings and carrying out the general duties of office, the Mayor of the city shall receive $6,210.00 annually and each Councilmember shall receive $4,968.00 annually to be paid in 26 equal bi-weekly installments. In addition thereto, the Mayor and each Councilmember shall be compensated at a rate of $6.50 per hour for all time spent at special meetings or activities as the Mayor and any Councilmember is directed or authorized to attend. Said salary is to be paid bi-weekly in two (2) equal semiannual installments on June 30 and December 31.

Chair Heidemann recessed the meeting at 8:15 p.m. The Board reconvened in closed Executive Session to discuss negotiations at 8:25 p.m. The meeting reconvened in open session at 8:45 p.m.
Jeff Simon moved and Marci Anderson seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed.
