THROUGH MARCH 30 — The Delano Public Library, 160 Railroad Ave. E. will host its 15th Annual Photo Exhibit through March 30 during library open hours. Area amateur and professional photographers are exhibiting their work.
Veteran’s aid seminar
MARCH 21 — A “Veteran’s Aid and Attendance” seminar is Thursday, March 21, at 5 p.m. at Elder Homestead, 11400 4th St. N., Minnetonka. This event is a benefit that is available for eligible wartime veterans and surviving spouses to help finance assisted living and long-term care. Ray Quinn with the American Association of Wartime Veterans will be the event’s presenter. Contact 952-933-1752 to reserve a seat.
Rockford River Days
MARCH 22 — There will be a Rockford River Days Ambasadors/Princess Party on Friday, March 22, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School Commons. This will include a Junior Ambassador Program informational for those interested (www.rockfordambassadors.weebly.com). This event is for ages 3 and up, and requires advance registration at [email protected]
Wear you favorite dress and experience manicures, hair styling, making a sash and tiara and cookie decorating.
Friday Fish Fries
MARCH 22 — The Heinzen-Ditter Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and Auxiliary will offer Friday Fish Fries during Lent from 5 to 7 p.m. at the VFW Post, 19020 Hamel Road on the Medina/Plymouth border. Takeouts will be available. Fish fry dates are March 22 and 29.
Loretto Easter Egg Hunt
MARCH 23 — Catholic United Financial will sponsor its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m Saturday, March 23, event will at the Sts. Peter and Paul Community Center in Loretto. All children ages 0 – 12 are welcome. Please dress for the weather and be on time. Bring an item for the food shelf and receive an extra treat.
Ridgeview Friends & Family Come Together Event
MARCH 23 — Join Ridgeview Foundation, Ridgeview Medical Center, Safari Island and more than 35 other community organizations for a free, interactive healthy living event that promotes the health, wellness and safety of the entire community. Enjoy a wide range of activities and presentations designed for children and adults of all ages, including health screenings, community and personal health and safety information and much more. This event will be Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to noon at Safari Island Community Center, 1600 Community Drive, Waconia. This is a free event and advanced registration is not required. Read to a Dog
MARCH 23 — The Rockford Public Library is offering a “Read To a Dog” program for children Saturday, March 23, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dogs are great listeners, and even children who are not confident readers enjoy reading to them. Rockford’s library reading dog is Kirk, a 5-year-old farm collie who has achieved his AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate. He would love to have school age readers stop by and read to him. Children may bring a favorite book or pick one out at the library. The library will also have “Read To a Dog” programs on the last Saturday in April. Easter Egg Hunt
MARCH 24 —There will be an Easter egg hunt on Sunday, March 24, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Rockford Community Center with game and activity stations. Lunch will be sold for a nominal fee.
Grief Support Group
MARCH 25 — The Grief Support Group: Rebuilding Hope, sponsored by Ridgeview Medical Center will meet Monday, March 25, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Ridgeview Medical Center. This support group is for those experiencing grief or anticipating a loss of someone they care about. It provides an on-going opportunity to gather helpful information, share experiences, be supported and support others in a similar situation. For more information, call 952-442-2191, Ext. 6190. Wow Van visit
MARCH 28 — The Wright County Wellness on Wheels (WOW) van will stop at BankWest in Rockford from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 28. WOW services include adult and child immunizations; health screening; blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol checks by appointment; pregnancy, health and wellness checks and child car seat checks by appointment. A variety of health information is available. For appointments or questions, call 763-682-7717. For immunizations, bring past immunization records to the van, if available.
Easter egg hunt
MARCH 30 -— The NW Area JC’s Annual Egg Hunt, geared for ages ten and under, will be Saturday, March 30, at 10 a.m. at the Corcoran Community Park, County Rds. 10 and 50, rain or shine so dress accordingly. Bring a bag or basket to collect all the treats and prize eggs (which you turn in for larger prizes afterwards). Bring your cameras too, the Easter Bunny will be there and hopefully Alice in Wonderland will join again.

Task Force meetings
