Medals won in Milwaukee

North Shore Gymnastics girls Optional, Compulsory and Xcel teams travelled to Milwaukee to compete in the 2013 Harley Davidson Invite meet in February. More than 25 gyms participated in the competition at the Delta Center.

The Platinum Xcel team took home second place honors. Placing in their age groups in the all-around were Abigail Frandsen (12), Mara McCollor (3), Julia Dalluge (5), Hailey Pugh (7), Morgan Robinson (8), Piper Hennings (9) and Kamryn Friedrich scored an average of 8.31 in her three events.

NSGA’s Xcel Gold team finished 10th led by Peyton Uelmen’s first place in the all-around. Other high age group finishers were Brigitte Albertson (3), Randilynn Bayerl (3), Madeline Doshan (5), Ally Berger (12) and Audrey Hyrkas (11).

In Level 4 the leaders were Kennedy Schmidt (5), Peyton Dickhausen (first on floor), Anna Murley (5) and Mei Vickery (first on vault and sixth all-around) and Kylie Strobl (8).

Makena Rasmussen earned a third place in Level 5 for the age 8 group. Other competitors included Hannah Bortnem (15), Katherine Busch (16), Geneva Berrett (9) and Jordan Janisch (9).

Samantha Poeschl achieved a second place finish in the Level 5 over 12 age group with a score of 36.075. She had the top scores on uneven bars (9.35) and floor exercise (9.05).

The Level 7 team brought home seven first place ribbons from the Harley competition.   Brynn Lampe won bars and beam as well as the all-around in the age 12 group.

In the age 13 division, first place finishers included Kate Schmid on bars and Mackenzie Kuphal on vault, floor and all-around. Mary Donna Sattervall was fourth on floor.

In the age 14 group Isabelle Schuster took second on bars and fourth all-around. Madelyn Peterson placed third on beam.

In Level 8, Teagan Schmidt (age 12) was first on beam, second on floor and all-around. Amanda Montplaisir (age 12) earned first place on bars at 9.675.

NSGA’s Level 9 girls placed fifth. Sarah Ellingboe was second on beam, third on bars and third all-around in age 12-13.

In the 14-15 division, Breghan Kiloran was first on bars and second in all-around. Megan White placed second on beam and fourth in all-around. Lauren Biorn (age 16) captured first on beam.

In Level 10, Amanda Bartemio (age 15) garnered first place honors on vault and beam and was second on bars, floor and all-around.
